Hey, my name's Gesine!

Due to where I grew up I'm more used to the city life, thereby I really enjoy spending some quiet time in the countryside.
One day I want to travel to Brazil, but that one will be a bigger trip.
Right now I am very interested in France! I'd love to improve my french and also want to explore the beautiful ocean and beaches, the smaller and the bigger cities. I like being where it's warm and sunny! And I'm curious to experience a lot of new things.
I would describe myself as a creative and artistic person: Dancing, making music with others (I play the saxophone and a bit of piano) photography and making art is what brings me joy. Apart from that I enjoy doing yoga, going for runs, cooking, a good movie/series, taking care of plants or reading.
Getting to know myself better and creating a beautiful life always was a big part of me and I am excited to see where this next journey will lead.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I worked with people with special needs for a year. Apart from social skills, there I also improved my cooking, cleaning and other housechore skills.
Worked in a huge garden, a farm and lots of estate work. My mum is a potter, so I’ve gathered art and crafty skills from her. My dad as a musician taught me musical knowledge which I improved at a music school in Leipzig. I play the saxophone and a bit of piano.
I‘m able to work independently or in a team.
When working with others I’m adaptable, quick learning and always open to discover new skills.

Gesine stayed at home in november 2023. We've had a very good time with her! She is a smily person, always happy to share time with us and with our workawayers. She has done many different tasks at home, inside and outside. She is very organised, and she doesn't mind to do some hardwork outside like carrying wood! :)

Staying at Joanna’s and Didier’s beautiful place for almost 4 weeks was a truly special experience! The house, as already described, is very (!) big and has everything you will ask for, including a large kitchen with a variety of foods and kitchen tools. I even had my own room with bathroom and shower!

I was really lucky to find Claire as a last-Minute Host! In her nice Appartement which was not too far away from Marseille center I felt very welcomed and cared for and basically had everything I needed :) The job was just perfect for me (mosaic) and the kitchen offers a great variety of things to cook with.
