I’m Gabriel, a Brazilian currently living in France on a Working Holiday visa.

I’ve been in France for the past six months, and this experience has made me want to discover the country much more deeply. My goal is to explore as many different regions of France as possible: not just as a tourist, but by experiencing everyday life, meeting local people and becoming part of different communities along the way.

I enjoy meaningful cultural exchanges and I’m particularly interested in discovering the differences between regions: their landscapes, food, traditions, history and ways of life. After spending time in different parts of France, I’ve realised how incredibly diverse the country is, and I would love to continue exploring it.

I particularly enjoy structured work and clear expectations. I’m at my best when I understand what needs to be done and can organise myself to complete the work properly. I’m comfortable with routines and practical tasks, and I take pride in being reliable and doing things carefully rather than rushing through them.

I’m curious by nature and enjoy learning new skills and trying experiences that are different from my usual professional background. I have previously worked in corporate finance, but travelling and living in France has been an opportunity to step outside that world, challenge myself and discover different ways of living and working.

I’m fluent in Portuguese, English and French, and I also speak a little Spanish. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing conversations, meals and everyday life.

For me, Workaway is not simply about finding accommodation while travelling. I’m looking for genuine experiences where I can contribute, learn something new and have a meaningful exchange with my hosts and the people around me.

I look forward to discovering more of France, learning from the people I meet along the way and hopefully sharing some great experiences together!

I’m a responsible and hands-on person who enjoys helping out and learning by doing. I adapt quickly, follow instructions well, and I’m comfortable taking responsibility once I understand what’s needed.

I’ve worked in organized environments, so I’m used to being reliable, paying attention to details, and respecting routines. I get along easily with different people, communicate openly, and I try to bring a positive, calm energy to the places I stay. I’m happy to help with daily tasks, organization, and anything that requires care and consistency.
