Description
After 36 years of professional experience as a computer scientist in the financial sector, I am currently taking a sabbatical time. Since then I have time for new activities!
My favorites are traveling, gardening for self-sufficiency, cooking vegetarian food and organizing events with other people, helping others tidy up and learning spanish (me gusta mucho)!
At the moment I work part time on an organic farm. There are cows, chickens, own dairy and bakery, a farm shop with a cafe, many fruit trees, grain and almost 400 vegetable gardens for the surrounding population for self-sufficiency. It is a wonderful place with lots of positive energy to relax for young and old. I work in different places, where ever help is needed.
Now I want to apply my old and new skills to Workaway hosts. Working with different people is so enriching that I look forward to different activities. I love traveling to other countries, always experiencing new things, exchanging information about customs and cultures and sharing life with other people from different parts of the world. This exchange and this life experience is so valuable.
I am interested in communal living. Since January 2022, I live in a community of about 65 adults and 25 children, in a city of 160,000 inhabitants. Everyone has their own living unit and in addition there are common areas for joint activities. For example, I offer vegetarian cooking events.
I am a very optimistic, positive person with a preference for the simple, a mother of two adult children and grandmother of my little granddaughter.
