Hi! We are two friends who recently graduated from high school, Felina from Munich, 19 years old, and Johannes from Essen, 18 years old. Starting from mid-September, we are embarking on a work and travel adventure, eager to explore and embrace whatever opportunities come our way.

Our journey is set to begin in Munich, and from there, we are open to wandering wherever our hearts lead us. While we initially thought of venturing through Austria, Italy, France, and Spain all the way to Portugal, we are thrilled to be spontaneous and adapt to new experiences along the way.

Let us introduce ourselves:

Felina - My name is Felina and I am 19 years old. As a graduate of a school with the field of education social work I have experience in working with children and people with disabilities. I am quite an outgoing person and like to do things with other people. Additionally I am very interested in foreign languages and cultures. At school I learned English and French. However, I would love to get to know more about those and other countries. I'm really looking forward to interacting with the locals and our hosts :)
Another passion of mine is music.
I taught myself to play the ukulele, guitar and bass. I also love to sing. In our band I'm the lead singer, but every now and then I also play guitar or bass on stage.

Johannes - As for me, I am 18 years old and I love playing guitar and enjoy creating music. My love for music extends to engaging in various forms of youth work as I did this in my local community for a few years now. Working with children brings me joy and fulfillment. This journey is an opportunity for me to broaden my horizons, learn and explore new cultures, and immerse myself in new experiences. At school I had English and Latin so I am fluent in both German and English, and I am currently venturing into learning Spanish as well.

We are excited to connect with hosts and fellow travelers on Workaway, sharing our enthusiasm for life, learning, and new friendships. We are looking forward to contributing our skills, embracing challenges, and making lasting memories with people from different walks of life.

We both had English in school for many years, so we can communicate more or less fluent in English. Felina also had French in school, therefore she is able to talk with simple sentences for example with children. Johannes started to learn Spanish with Duolingo a few month ago so he can‘t communicate but (as both of us always are) is interested in the language and would love to learn some new words.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

First of all, we love to learn new skills and get to know different kinds of work. We are willing to learn, so that we can improve skills in all areas of life.
During our journey we already did many different things, such as gardening, painting, repairing some old windows, sanding a lot, take care of animals, helping with the olive harvest, doing some easy carpentry and just doing general maintenance in and around the house.
We also took care of children where we already gained much experience at home: Johannes has a special youth leader degree (JuLeiCa) and Felina even visited a school with the special field of social work and education.
So whatever you want us to do, we would be thrilled to help you and take it as a chance to learn new skills.
