Hello friends!

We are a couple from the UK and Spain. We are travelling to Japan in October on a working holiday visa and plan to stay and travel around Japan until June 2026. Macarena speaks Japanese and is looking to complete a Master's in Translation when we return to Dublin. However, she needs to practice her speaking and brush off some nerves. We are both fascianted by Japanese culture and and landscapes. We're willing to turn our hand to everything and anything, especially learning new skills.

A little bit about us: We met in Dublin in 2022 and have been together ever since. Dublin has been our home for almost two years and we went back to Maca's home of Sevilla for a year in between this time. We have been English teachers and receptionists in Dublin, we are both CELTA qualified and have numerous years of experience with young learners and adults.

I (Esme) have done a few Workaways already and have had an absolute blast. Maca is experiencing it for the first time and is very excited!

We have been lucky enough to travel a lot but this will be our first time leaving Europe. We both enjoy the arts, nature and a friendly chat over some good food.

We are both CELTA qualified. We are willing to teach English as a foreign language to both young learners and adults. Maca is interested in taking her Japanese to the next level and I want to learn as much as I can!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience in teaching English and outdoor activities such as climbing and hiking. I love food but my cooking isn't amazing but that doesn't stop me looking to try out new dishes. I am used to doing tasks involving gardening and general outdoor work.

I am a huge outdoors person and would much rather spend all my time in the outdoors than cooped up inside. I enjoy almost all sports especially hiking and cycling. I regularly take myself off on long meandering walks with little purpose but to just relax. I am a fan of the old circus skills and love to keep on adding to my repertoire of skills, however slowly this may be.

I love reading and dancing, although not together! It's not unusual to hear me singing or dancing during almost everything I do. And of course my perfect evening is being outdoors, surrounded by people and chatting away with a glass of white wine.

I am a very outgoing and talkative person with the belief that all people have something interesting to say.
