About Us:
Hi. We’re Emma and Rosa, two friends from Denmark spending our gap year exploring Australia.

We’re both 20 years old and excited to experience a new culture, meet people from all over the world, and learn through hands-on experiences. We love music, sports, people, and animals! We’re driven to help others and explore the world, and we find Australia especially fascinating—particularly because of the incredible marine life.

We’re eager to learn new skills, contribute wherever we can, and share our own experiences along the way.

Who We Are:
Emma
I'm curious, motivated, and always up for a challenge. Currently, I work with kids and as an animal caretaker. I enjoy driving to the countryside of Denmark to surf in the danish waves! This gap year is my way of stepping outside my comfort zone, exploring new environments, and gaining real-life experience. I’m especially excited to spend time in nature, meet new people, and grow both personally and practically through this adventure.

Rosa
I’d describe myself as open-minded, hardworking, and always ready to try something new. I haven’t decided what I want to study yet, and that’s part of why this year means so much to me—it’s a chance to explore different lifestyles, build confidence, and figure out what I’m passionate about. I currently work in a discount store in Denmark and will be flying to Sydney in early January 2026. I’m really looking forward to learning practical skills and living closer to nature in Australia.

Additional Information:

We don’t smoke or take any form of drugs.

We both have international driver’s licenses and have completed first-aid courses.

While we’re new to the Workaway experience, we’re enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to contribute.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Emma: I worked with children (ages 5-12) and animals(rabbits and goats) in Denmark. I did a lot of physical work with tools too(amateur level). I play a bit of piano and guitar and I'm very passionate about languages! I love being creative and taking photos.
Rosa: I work in the service industry right now and love helping people! I would say one of my skills is cooking and making up different dishes. I love being creative in the kitchen and cooking for the people I love.
We are both educated in English and are very interested in experiencing and learning about foreign cultures and ways of life.
