Hi! I am Emilija, 25 years old, from Lithuania but currently based in the Netherlands. I came to the Netherlands in 2019 for studying, where I also started my cultural exchange journey. All these years had brought me to know many people with different backgrounds and cultures, and I wish to continue making new connections and getting familiar with more and more cultures. After getting here with my bachelor's degree in finance and master's degree in financial economics, I decided to continue my life journey by volunteering and helping others. Since I started my independent life journey 6 years ago, I have gained a variety of skills and experiences that I could use in any type of volunteering activity. So currently, I am looking to volunteer, learn, and experience new cultures. I am open-minded, honest, friendly, reliable, and happy to help with whatever is needed—whether it is cleaning, teaching, gardening, working with animals, or helping with guests and social media. I speak fluent Lithuanian and English. I enjoy nature, hiking, reading, and working with kids, and I always try to bring a positive attitude to everything I do. I do love being around animals and providing all support needed. I am new to all of this, but I am very passionate and eager, so I would make the best out of all possibilities given to me. I am looking forward to connecting with new people, learning new cultures, and giving back wherever I go!

I enjoy picking up new words and phrases whenever I go, and I am always excited to learn, practice, and improve. I would be happy to help others learn English and Lithuanian in return—through casual conversations, games, or helping kids with homework. I love the idea of sharing languages and also learning more about local cultures along the way.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have many years of experience in different fields. I have worked in a cafe kitchen preparing fast food, so I am comfortable helping with cooking, cleaning, and working in busy environments. I also have experience working with gardening (had a summer job in a greenhouse), and I love to be surrounded by kids. I have had lots of great experiences babysitting kids of all ages, from tiny newborns to energetic 10-year-olds!

On the professional side, I have studied finance and economics and worked on the side as a finance business reporter, so I am confident with communication, writing, and helping with admin or online tasks (like content creation or social media).

Besides all of that, I am interested in learning and doing a lot of different activities. I absolutely love helping with childcare, pet care, or simply being a part of a family routine. I am also happy doing hands-on tasks like gardening, cleaning, or assisting in hostels or guesthouses.

I am a kind, reliable, and friendly person, open to learning new things, and I always try to bring a good energy and respectful attitude wherever I go.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, going to the gym, playing board games, and just going on walks. I am always curious to learn something new—whether it's a new skill or a new language. As well, I am always trying new hobbies, so I am open to trying a variety of things. Currently I am passionate about hiking!

Besides all of this, I love to share stories, connect with new people, and be a part of a relaxed, friendly environment. I am an easygoing and respectful guest who enjoys helping out, learning, and making meaningful memories along the way!
