I'm currently living and working in Western Australia (with a working holiday visa), planning the next trip to Thailand in december.

Description

Hi there! My name is Elena, i’m 33 y.a. from Italy (Turin).

My first time with Workaway has been in New Zealand, living with a Malaysian family for about 2 months during the Covid lockdown, taking care of their animals and helping them to clean and fix house and garden, a wonderful experience!
Then i've been other 2 months in a Yoga community in Auckland (Kawai Purapura) where i had the chance to meet voluteers from all over the world, learn more about yoga, meditation and mindfullness, and working as a marketing assistance in the office (i managed website and social medias, created contents for retrats and events...).
I've recently volunteering in a Buddhista Monastery in Sri Lanka, teaching english to little monks.

About me: I have a bachelor degree in administration and finance, a master's degree in business management and a certification in "Marketing & web strategy".
I have experience in customer service, as receptionist and front office, in administration, in hospitality and marketing.

I really love travelling and, everytime I’m planning to visit a new country, I always organise a trip that let me discover culture, food and habits of the local people.
I’m a positive, curious, very friendly and helpful person, even if I’m a little shy. I think I have a great adaptability and I would like to exit from my comfort zone improving my skills.
I like dance, snorkeling, walk, swim, read, take photos and videos, i love yoga and I'm trying to find out more about meditation, mindfullness and the buddhism culture.

I really love animals but dogs in particular! I had 2 big German Shepherd dogs who were like my childrens, now with my family we have a new young labrador and, before Australia, i lived with my partner and our dog Axel, who i really miss.
