I am completely new to this site and the concept of workaway and therefore I will introduce myself first. I am Douwina de Vries (59 years old), and I live in the north of the Netherlands in a small town with my cat Loes. Four days a week I work as an HR consultant at a library organization. I have been working there for a long time having held various positions.
I've decided I'm in the mood for a break. I plan to do that in 2024 from April to June (three months). My intention is to go to Italy to improve my Italian, to travel around by car and to arrange 1 or 2 workaway stays.

The main reason why I am looking for a workaway address in Italy (preferably Sardinia) is to learn to speak the language better again. At the age of 20, as au pair in Rome, I learned to speak Italian and I'm curious to see how my Italian will be after all those years.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I like to help in and around the house. I grew up with animals like, dogs, cats, ponies, rabbits, chickens and pigeons. I love taking care of them and giving them attention.
I don't have a very big garden, but it makes me happy to make it a beautiful wild garden with many blooming plants. I would like to learn how to build or maintain a permaculture vegetable garden. Or more broadly: how can you be self-sufficient and how can you integrate nature into your life.

I traveled by car to Sardegna and arrived the 22st of April. Now i'm travelling around but I'm still looking for a workaway stay at the end of may or the beginning of june. So when you are interested just contact me.
