Hey! :) We're Enikő & Dorka, two best friends looking for a workaway adventure together.
Enikő, 24 is from Budapest, Hungary. She's a freelancer graphic designer and a bartender in an independent theater. She likes gardening, music, psychology, hiking, going to the beach, contemporary dance shows, exhibitions.
Dorka, 27 is from Budapest, Hungary as well. She's working for an environmental NGO and in a theater.
We've met as festival volunteers at an eco festival in Hungary back in 2021. Ever since our friendship got deeper and deeper and we would love to bring this relationship to a new level by traveling together, working in a team. Since we have similar values and interests and we're both very adventorous and enthusiastic people, we're gonna be an excellent workawayer pair. We're looking forward to exchange skills and ideas with other people, so we would love to be in a community!
We both have some experience on workaway from before (Enikő in Portugal and Berlin, Dorka went several places in Italy, to farms, ashrams, eco villages) and those were amazing times. We're really excited about new experiences, cultures, connections, now that we're on this journey again.
These days Enikő is mainly focused on permaculture. She's just finished an accredited permaculture course and she's really looking forward to get more experience by practicing in different conditions.
Dorka lately renovated her new flat so she has experience in building and reconstructing. She spent her childhood in the rural area of Hungary where she gained skills such as gardening, mushroom picking, wood cutting etc. Her actual job is working with communities effected by climate change which includes project coordinating and communication, so she can manage thes kind of works as well.
We would also be really happy working with animals (Enikő has a dog, a cat and a flock of chicken), in creative projects, eco building. But all in all, we're really open-minden people, any opportunity where we can exchange our skills and knowledge is a win to us!
This summer we're planning to visit Tenerife in the first half of July, it seems an amazing, beautiful place, we would love to discover the nature and learn about mediterranean gardening and agriculture and the people living there. We're planning to visit Kazakhstan as well in August.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Enikő:
I think of myself as a really creative person and I have great visual skills. I'm a graphic designer so naturally I can help with design and social media, program skills, some tech stuff.
I've just finished an accredited permaculture course and I have a big garden, so working in a garden is not a new thing for me but I'm still monitoring and learning from nature:) I have a fresh theoretical and practical knowledge of permaculture and I'm really enthusiatic to learn more as I'm planning to be a professional permaculture designer. I think I'm the best help for hosts who are just staring a permaculture garden or someone who already has a system and needs someone who knows the basic principles and techniques. But I would love to join any project using regenerative methods and share my knowledge while also learning new things!
I'm also a part-time bartender in a independent theater for more than 2 years so I can help with something like that as well, serving people drinks, handling beer tap, being an excellent dj :D And I'm meeting people from the theater and contemporary dance scene every day. My mission is to open the dimensions of my guests in music.
In our garden, we have 30 chickens and we have a dog and a cat so I'm good with animals of course. I love vegan cooking and also have some experience with children but I'm not a good full time nanny material yet :D I love deep talks, I've done therapy for several years so maybe some experience in that as well.:)
My workaway experiences so far are working on a permaculture land in Portugal for a week and working in a bio garden and also helping a performance artist with costumes and shows in Berlin for a week as well:)

Dorka: I’m working for an environmental NGO for 4,5 years now, where my role is to manage internal and external communication, I work with communities affected by climate change and sometimes I teach in high schools about the Global South’s issues . I have experience working eith children with disabilities, because I was an intern in a kindergarten and in primary school specialised in children with celebral palsy. During evenings I work in a theatre for more than 7 years, where I take care of the audience. I’m a really empathetic person and open to other’s perspectives and souls, I like to get to know others deeply.
I have gained skilles in gather animals and gardening, I’ve done several workaways in farms, religious ashrams and I spent my childhood mainly in the countryside so working with animals and in garden isn’t far from me.
Through my work we raise awareness about biodiversity friendly environment, so I can give these good practices to your place.
