Description

I am a retired Occupational Therapist and am a keen outdoor enthusiast: I walk, white water kayak and paddleboard. I like to live fairly sustainably, am largely vegetarian, very practical, enjoy working with wood and have made my own wood stores. I play a recorder (not very well!) in a folk orchestra, help with wood management in a cooperative, garden and run a support group for people with chronic fatigue syndrome, long covid and fibromyalgia. I love animals and am very sociable.

I have joined Workaway as I am about to holiday in France and want to learn French with native speakers, learn about French culture and have fun while working hard. I encouraged both my young adult children to do Workaway and they loved it. Now it's my turn!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a keen gardener and have designed and maintained about 8 gardens, dug ponds, pruned etc
I have made a large bench with shoe storage, a storage area for a bin, shelves, 3 large wood stores and 2 raised garden troughs.
I can usually fix things, given a lot of time and YouTube!
I have brought up my 2 children to be happy, successful adults.
I can play the recorder to about grade 3 level and play in a folk orchester.
I run an information and support group for people with Long Covid, ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia.
I can operate wood splitting machines.
