Hello!

I'm Declan. I've been volunteering on-and-off through Workaway since 2019 and it's something that I really love doing - it's actually turned into a bit of a lifestyle, and I'm always excited to find new places to volunteer.

I’m a pretty easy-going person. I like to walk and read. I love cooking — especially for other people. And in generally I just like meeting and getting to know new people.

What I really love about Workaway is how different each place and project is from another, so I don’t have too many expectations or preferences when it comes to the kind of work I’ll be doing. I really like gardening and (as I’ve mentioned already!) cooking, so these are jobs I’ll always happily volunteer myself for. But in general I’ll have a go at anything. As long as I feel like I’m contributing and making a positive impact then I’m happy.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Basic gardening/woodland maintenance skills; tutoring and mentoring (I have a TEFL qualification, so teaching English is no problem); I think I'm a pretty good cook (although I've never catered for large groups, but it's something I'd love to try); general domestic tasks; cleaning; creative writing; copywriting and digital content creation; customer service.

Having Dec work with us was an absolute pleasure!
When he arrived his calm, kind personality were immediately apparent.
