Description

Motivates me and brings me happiness:
- Physical outdoor activities (ie. rafting, ziplining, rock climbing, running)
- People interactions (ie. guiding tours, working with small children, tutoring)
- Learning new and interesting skills

I have worked at an Adventure Resort for the past three summers as a raft guide, zipline guide, and reservationist, and it completely matches my personality! I love to be outside doing things that slightly raise my blood pressure and put me back at my house with a grin on my face.
However, I also love learning new things in and out of the classroom. Last summer I took an internship conducting a hydrologic study within Mammoth Cave National Park.
I also love to tutor peers in different subjects, and work with small children. Last year, I led a 3d printing project with an afterschool program at a local elementary school.

I am most comfortable living in a small town environment/living out in the middle of the woods away from town. I love talking to people but I would consider myself more lowkey.

People/customer skills - 3 summers of tour guiding/tourism work at an adventure resort, catering to people from around the world.

Real world skills - raft guiding and zipline guiding

teaching skills - have tutored multiple peers in Math (trigonometry, calculus, and computer science), tutored elementary schoolers in math (basic algebra)

Language skills - English (fluent, native language), Spanish (very elementary)

Academically inclined - completed up to calculus 3, completed internship through awarded grant, completed three college semesters of computer science, 1 semester of computer science research, can operate basic CAD and use a 3D printer.

Mechanically inclined - worked as a farmhand for 2 summers building fences, assisted father with repairing our porch.
