Hello! My name is Jhair Manrique, I’m 21 years old, from Peru and currently living in France. I’m a cheerful, active person with a strong desire to keep discovering the world. I love the outdoors, the countryside, animals, and learning about new cultures and lifestyles.

I’m passionate about sports and I like to start my days with exercise: running, walking, cycling or practicing water sports. I’m a Downhill athlete, a nature lover and enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities. I also love football and, in general, any sport that challenges me.

I’m interested in learning new languages, sharing experiences and helping in different projects. If you have children, I’m happy to spend time with them and also learn from their energy and creativity. I enjoy teaching my skills and sharing my knowledge with others, exchanging languages and learning new abilities.

I’m respectful, punctual, honest and flexible, willing to collaborate in different kinds of tasks: from farm work, gardening, animal care and construction, to household help or creative projects. In Peru I worked in the countryside and also have experience in masonry, gardening and flower care.

I also consider myself an open-minded, sociable team player, eager to learn and always give my best. I have travelled in Costa Rica and now I want to keep adding enriching experiences that will help me grow personally and professionally.

My goal on Workaway is to collaborate enthusiastically, learn from each place, each host and each culture, and continue building a path of learning and adventures.

I’m passionate about learning new languages because my dream is to become a pilot, and I know that speaking different languages will help me a lot in my career and my travels. I love traveling, discovering new cultures and sharing experiences with people from all over the world. My native language is Spanish and I’m currently learning English and French. I also enjoy teaching my language and culture — including our gastronomy and traditions — so that others can get to know a bit of my country. I’m highly motivated to keep learning and teaching through every exchange.

I’m a versatile and active person with experience in different types of work. I have worked in the countryside in Peru, carrying out agricultural tasks, animal care, planting and garden maintenance. I also have basic knowledge of masonry and enjoy physical and outdoor tasks.

I’m an athlete (Downhill, cycling, football, water sports), which gives me endurance, discipline and energy to work.

My native language is Spanish (100%), and I also speak basic English and French, with a strong desire to keep learning and practicing.

I consider myself responsible, punctual, sociable and quick to learn new skills. I also enjoy teaching my knowledge and sharing cultural and language exchanges with other people.

In addition to everything mentioned above, I really enjoy cooking and sharing traditional Peruvian recipes with the people I meet. I like learning crafts, taking part in board games and group activities.

I have a driver’s license for both car and motorcycle, and I also know how to repair bicycles as well as some parts of cars and motorcycles, so I can help with maintenance tasks or basic repairs.

I consider myself a very open-minded person with good energy, always willing to learn and teach new things. I’m very interested in cultural exchange — not only languages, but also customs, traditions and gastronomy.
I always seek to grow and contribute with a positive attitude wherever I go.
