Hi!
My name is Dana (Daantje) , I am from Amsterdam and I am planning to go travelling in South America for an indefinite time.

I have studied art, am learning how to tattoo and have worked a lot of years in hospitality as a bartender but also in the kitchen. So I love drawing, painting and music too. I have experience in managing and running a bar and kitchen and I love to cook. But mostly, I love animals. For the past year I have been working at a dog walking service where I walk with around 10 to 12 dogs at a time. I have experience in fostering shelter dogs and training them.

Most importantly, I love horses. I have ridden horses since I was 5 years old. Eventually I have trained international sport horses. Now I focus more on a natural horsemanship way of riding and groundwork, inspired by Warwick Schiller his way of working with horses. I have worked in Spain, training horses, giving riding classes and being a trekking guide. Then I volunteered for 6 months at an animal rescue, working with foundered, neglected and abused horses (and other animals). I have learned a lot from these experiences but am always open to learn more!

I can also help out with photography / videography for social media and/or websites.

When I lived in Tenerife I stayed in a cave in a community of around 40 volunteers, where I learned how to live together and work together with such a big group. I am a flexible, hardworking and easygoing person. I can be very serious when needed but also like a good laugh and to have fun! I would love an adventure, getting to know new people and learning about your culture!

I speak some Spanish. It was intermediate but I haven’t spoken for some years, but I expect it will come back quickly.
