Hello! We are Georgia and Craig, a couple from Melbourne, Australia looking to travel and explore the world of workaway's in 2026/2027. A bit about us:

We have been together for over 7 years and been fortunate enough to go on lots of adventures together already (India, Africa, Europe, Asia). We both work in the mental health industry, and as much as we love our jobs, we are looking forward to taking a break as we travel the world for a while. Our plan is to spend March-May 2026 in Japan before going to Europe for a few months. We love meeting new people, exploring local cuisine and getting out into nature. We are both hard working, fun and curious people who can't wait to meet some amazing hosts and have some incredible experiences.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We both have a range of skills and experiences that will make us a good fit for your workaway!

We both hold masters degrees in Psychology and have worked for several years as Psychologists in various settings. We both also have experience working in childcare and hospitality settings. We both speak english fluently and Georgia speaks conversational German. Craig has been doing Duolingo spanish for 6 years but we are yet to see how well that translates into a real conversation! Here are some other details about our skills/experience:

Georgia: I have many hobbies and interests and love to try new things! During the day I work as a child psychologist, supporting kids and their families to thrive. I love the creativity involved with working with children and am always learning things from them. I have previously worked in various jobs including hospitality (waiting, catering, events) and sports coaching (gymnastics, softball, and netball). In my spare time, I enjoy drawing, painting, playing lacrosse, cooking, baking, and discovering new places. I am always open to learning new skills and more than happy to help out around the house, looking after kids, animals and the garden.

Craig: I am an avid gardener who loves exploring the world of permaculture. Beyond some of the skills/experience outlined above, I am more than happy to help out with manual work and am not afraid to get my hands dirty. I also have extensive experience in hospitality work, working for many years as a barista, baker and waiter. Other jobs I have done include being a tour guide, working with young people in hospital and teaching at a university. I have also held several jobs that involved creating content (written, audio and video) so would be happy to help out with that. I like helping out around the house, cooking/cleaning, looking after kids, animals or generally just being helpful where I can.

Together we love: hikes/being outdoors, board games (wingspan, catan, terraforming mars, monopoly deal), cooking, live music, reading.

Georgia loves: meeting new people, travelling to new places, and discovering new foods. Food is such an important part of life that brings the people in my life together. Not only do I love the process of cooking and baking, I love the joy that sharing my creations with others brings.

Craig loves: playing guitar, getting stuck into the garden, kayaking/canoeing. I have also had a daily meditation practice for 10 years and am very interested in buddhism and other contemplative practices.
