Description

I am currently in Chile, specifically in the city of Chillán, but I usually study in Concepción during the academic year. My family consists of four members: my parents, my older brother, and me, the youngest. This is my first trip, so my parents are a little worried, but they support me and would like me to join a good family with whom I can live with care and affection, where I would like to help in the house or assist in caring for children.

I am studying Industrial Civil Engineering and I am in my fourth year. I have suspended my university semester to focus on improving my English, as it is an important requirement for my studies and one of the main reasons for this volunteering experience, where I would be grateful to be with people who can help and support me with this challenge. Earlier this year, I took private English lessons, but they were not enough; however, I am committed to achieving my goal and continuing to practice.

I have experience taking care of children, although they have always been family members (mostly young cousins). Since I was little, I learned to do it because my mother was often in charge of their care, and when she was busy, I would take on that responsibility with care and patience, as I love children—treating them kindly and taking care of them when they are babies or playing with them if they are older. I love sports and have practiced various ones throughout my life, but I mainly love football, and almost my whole life I have been involved in karate since my parents also practiced it when they were young; it is something I love to teach.

Another fact about me is that I enjoy classical music, and many times I have taken the time to learn about new instruments, as I like to know a little about everything, and I leave the door open if you enjoy teaching about this.

And, of course, I must mention that I love animals. Since I was little, I have had dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, piglets, and I am passionate about horses, although unfortunately, I do not have the space to keep one. I am used to adapting to different environments, as I have lived in various places in Chile. I am not very good at cooking because it is not something I am passionate about, but I am willing to do it if necessary, and I am already asking my mother to teach me Chilean recipes so that both children and their parents can enjoy them.

I consider myself an extremely responsible person who likes order and cleanliness. After graduating from university, I plan to enjoy visiting different places around the world, but for now, I am looking to live this enriching experience with a family that values collaboration, respect, and mutual learning.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have knowledge in a variety of topics, I like to know a little bit about everything:
1. Learning sports or teaching about the few I know and sharing my experiences.
2. With my family we built our beach house together, a small and simple house, but it taught me about this area. In addition, my father worked in this for years, so I learned a lot.
3. In 2020 I started an online store on Instagram and today I already have my own website, created by myself. If you need help with this I would be happy to, I am not a professional but I manage quite well.
4. My university career has taught me a lot about leadership and management and it is truly a subject I enjoy sharing. I consider myself a natural leader, but you never stop learning about this. I would be delighted to meet more people immersed in this world.
5. I have some knowledge in programming, also thanks to my career. If you need a bit of basic help I think I could be useful.
6. For some reason, children always approach me, I think I give them security and confidence. I really enjoy spending time with them and following their games, especially with babies. I love them!
7. My father is now a disabled person, unfortunately he had an accident in 2024, so if you are looking for someone who understands you, believe me I can. I keep learning every day with him and he taught me that everything can change in a moment, but with people’s support life becomes easier. Note! Only support, no one likes to be made feel incapable of doing something, I understand that.
8. I have little knowledge about agriculture and livestock, but nothing that cannot be learned.

One of my qualities is that I learn quickly and I like to do things well, although sometimes it plays a bit against me because I seek perfection, but with me you will never have a poorly done job, and if that ever happens just tell me and I will correct it immediately. The best way to achieve things is by having a good relationship with the person who guides you.
