Hi, I'm Christian, 19 years old (or young) and just finished high school in a mid-sized town in northern Germany where I live with my parents and occasionally my older sister when she isn't studying further south.

Since I always wanted to visit New Zealand (partly due to the incredible landscape and partly due to The Lord of the Rings / The Hobbit) I felt like the time between school and university is the perfect time to do some work and travel :)

As I grew up around animals (horses, dogs, cats and Guinea pigs) I quickly stumbled upon Workaway with its many animal lovers.

I'm looking forward to help out all the people I'm going to meet - no matter whether it's about caring for animals or cleaning the house. I've always loved a tidy and clean space so I'd be happy to clean all day long haha :)

As for my hobbies: Besides sports like basketball, badminton and ultimate frisbee, I started taking photos as a toddler. Since then, my liking for cameras only grew more and more. Now I'm doing freelance projects as a filmmaker and photographer in my own time so I'd be happy to explain everything about cameras if interested :)

I think staying with locals is the best way to experience not just nature but also culture and I'm hoping to put my English to use more than at home :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I grew up in an animal-friendly household so caring for dogs, cats and horses is the first skill that came to my mind :)
Nonetheless. I'd describe myself as organized and I have quite some experience in all things cleaning related (vacuuming, tidying, window cleaning, power washing, etc.) At home I help out all around the household from mowing the lawn to cleaning to cooking.

Furthermore, German is my native language but I love speaking English and I can speak French on a high school level.
If there are other school subjects I might be able to help as well since I finished my A-Levels with As and Bs only - so it depends on the topic :)

And then there's photography and videography - my favorite hobby which I'd love to teach! Anything from cameras to drones to composition and editing :)

I was a soccer goalkeeper for most of my childhood and I played badminton for around 9 years :)

I love English and different languages in general. My sister studies English literature and culture, my mom is an English and Spanish teacher and I did my A-Levels in English, German and French. Geography and Biology too)
