Hello my name is Christopher Clooney I come from a town called Celbridge located just outside of Dublin Ireland where I have lived most of my life. About 3 years ago I finished school and went straight to working as an apprentice carpenter which I enjoyed but just not to the point we're I could see myself spending the rest of my life doing so. I then decided that I wanted to go to college to try get an idea of what to do with my life. I've always had a love for art and music and have a natural talent at painting and drawing and found that I felt the most at peace with myself when I was doing anything creative, it always gave me a great sense of escape so I decided that I would do a course in music production and sound engineering which I actually quite enjoyed up until around Christmas time when Ireland went back into a hard lockdown because of the pandemic which changed the course to a full time online style which I really just could not stand as I would 100 % consider myself to be a kinesthetic hands on learner and worker. I tried my hardest to go with it and after about a week or two I decided I could no longer carry on doing so. Because of this the lockdown and other circumstances in my life I went through a deep phase of derealization which is basically when you feel like the world around you isn't real which I managed to work my own way out of using the power of positive thinking and seeking knowledge and understanding of the world around me. I then started to feel a real kind up humanitarian responsibility to help people around me improve there life's and help them find happiness as a lot of my friends were going down bad paths with drugs and other addictions and after a while of doing this I realized myself that a lot of them didn't even want to be helped and that I had completely wasted a whole year of my life and let my own relationship with my real family drift away and so I then decided to make a change for myself by saving up and going abroad alone for the year to really improve myself as a person. I am currently doing the camino del Norte solo by bike as I also have a great love for cycling and wanted to give myself a real challenge and push myself as far of the comfort zone as possible. By the time anyone sees this I will have completed the camino and will be aiming to cycle through Portugal were I hope to use this workaway experience to my advantage and try my best to just live my life to the fullest and make up for all the years I have wasted being lifeless. I hope to meet people who I can share memorable experiences with and also learn knowledge and wisdom they have aquired throughout there life that I can use to improve myself in the hope that I inspire family and friends back home All while having fun and experiencing life to the fullest. I would also like to add that I am a very hard hands on worker and that I would be very thankfull of any host who will be willing to take into there social, communal or work environment as the last two weeks abroad have been quite lonely as there is little to no one doing the camino at the moment.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I would describe myself as a very easily approachable person I pretty much get along with anyone. I am very kind, generous and thankful l always try to be very nice to people because one of my main joys is to see myself and other people around me happy. I have been an apprentice carpenter and labourer for nearly three years so I have good skills when it comes to making and repairing things I also have skills and a natural talent in painting, drawing and my biggest pastime would probably be cycling. I am also a very good listener and Im always aware of how I communicate with people as I believe that communication is one of the most important things in a team role.
I am overall just a very kind and easy to get along with person and love to meet and talk to new people. I also have a really good temper and have a great ability or remain calm cool and collective in any intense situation.
