Hello from Kevin (29) and Christine (27), a hardworking couple from sunny Singapore!

We’ll be taking a career break in Sept 2025 to travel, explore, and live a completely different life from what we know in Singapore. With a strong desire to immerse ourselves in nature and experience the rewarding work of farming, we are excited to be in New Zealand, ready to dive into new challenges and learn valuable skills.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Kevin: I enjoy getting involved in small DIY and home projects. At home, I've fixed broken lights, done basic maintenance jobs, and helped with minor gardening tasks like weeding, planting, and general upkeep. As a professional analyst, I'm always looking for ways to improve things and make sure everything is in working order. I’m not a professional handyman, but I’m practical, careful, and always happy to follow instructions and learn.

I’m respectful of people’s spaces and really appreciate the opportunity to be part of someone’s daily life and routines. I love the idea of cultural exchange – meeting new people, helping out, and sharing experiences. Whether it’s tidying up, painting a wall, or giving a garden some TLC, I’m happy to contribute in any way I can.

Christine: I love being part of a home environment and am happy to help with everyday tasks like basic cooking and cleaning. I enjoy keeping things neat and organized, and I can prepare simple meals or follow recipes. I'm always open to learning new dishes and helping out wherever I'm needed in the kitchen or around the house.

I also enjoy spending time outdoors and can assist with light gardening—watering plants, weeding, planting, or just helping keep the garden in good shape. As a nurse, I'm also comfortable helping with children or the elderly. I’m patient, caring, and happy to offer companionship, play games, help with routines, or simply be a kind and supportive presence in the home.

Both of Us: We both work well independently but also enjoy being part of a team or household. We're easy-going, tidy, and open-minded, and always try to bring a positive and responsible attitude wherever we go. We’re both eager to learn new skills and broaden our horizons. While we have hands-on experience in our own areas, we’re excited to explore new challenges like farming, gardening, and construction. We’re always ready to pitch in and contribute in any way we can while gaining hands-on experience in different environments.
