Description

What motivates me and brings me happiness is the ability to make a positive impact on others. Whether it's with animals, children, elderly, or any other demographic.

When I volunteered at a special needs school in England, it was so rewarding to see the glimmer of hope and happiness from students of all ages. I will never forget the smiles I saw on their faces every day I walked in the door. I particularly enjoyed answering the children's questions about the United States, as well as participating in arts and crafts.

In addition to children, I have experience volunteering at elderly care homes and looking after a sixty-year-old woman with early-onset dementia. I will never forget these experiences due to the knowledge and increased understanding of the elderly and how to care for them.

I also have an infinite love for animals, especially dogs. I had a dog while in high school and early adulthood which gave me enough exposure to the responsibilities of caring for a canine. I dog-sat for family, friends and acquaintances in addition to working at dog daycare/boarding centers. I learned a lot about the importance of discipline and structure for our furry friends, but also the need for love and affection to help them build positive relationships with humans.

I also happen to be fascinated by languages. Not only do I enjoy learning the basics, but the different dialects and accents associated with the particular language I'm learning about. Even the different accents and dialects of the English language pique my interest!
