Hi everyone.  My name is Carolina and I'm currently travelling around Europe (mainly Italy and around it) in my van with my very sweet dog called Chica.

I am a very positive person and enjoy new experiences. I’m originally from Chile and have been living in Malta for the last 15 years. In the last 6 years I have been working in Malta as a freelancer as an outdoor activity guide (climbing, trekking, kayaking) and Assistant Director in the film industry. Everything has been fascinating at the time and interesting, but I recently turned 40 years old and am realising that it is not where I would like to continue, and I have felt a call to move away from Malta and find myself again. Malta is beautiful but also very small and overcrowded, and I miss the outdoors.
I am looking for a new way of life and I think that working and doing things is the best way to find it.
I really enjoy the farming life and learning skills to be able to fix/create with my own hands. I find a very comfort satisfation in these activities. My parents live in a farm in Chile and I really enjoy that enviroment. I understand that there is always something to do, or something it could get better.

I am very hands-on. I am very flexible and I can adapt to new enviroments, even when it can be challenging, I like to know I can do it.
I enjoy working alone and with other people. I enjoy the company of others but also I like to have time for myself to reflect, meditate and sometimes dream awake. I am an active person but also I like to chill to recharge energy.

During my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, trakking, swimming.

I have a dog called Chica that is very sweet and friendly with kids and other animals. She is playful, she likes hunting lizards and is useld to be off the leash. We go everywhere together but In case of need, I can also tie her to me (She has been very attached to me since I adopted her).

So far I have travelled around SIcily and Sardenia which I really enjoyed. I just did voluntary work in a self sustained farm in Sardenia for a month and it was a great experience. The work was varied and I enjoyed waking up every morning knowing that I was going to do something useful and fun. I also would like to improve my italian and I think by working is a great way of do it.

I would like to improve my Italian. At the moment, I can comunicate basic but I can not have a deep conversation with someone. I am learning on my own with the help of the internet but I would love to try to comunicate and speak more with real people :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I studied in Chile Businness administration and I got Master in Economics and Public Policies. What I really learned during these 5 years is that if I wanted something I had to put my focus and mind into it. It wasn't a subject I loved but it gave me the attitud to work hard as I wanted to do well and it worked. I finished in the best 5% of my class. If I wanted to archive something, everything is possible.

I grew up in a place with a garden with fruit trees and a huerta. I am familiar with the farming process and the seasons. From growing to maintain, harvesting and collect seeds for the next season. I am also familiar with eating in season and what the garden gives you, how to preserve it for the future and how to prepare it. I am very keen in learning new techniques.

My cooking is very simple and I really enjoy my own food. My basic way of cooking is with ingridients that are available and try to make it nutritional and balanced. I like experiment with new flavours and sometimes I enjoy preparing complicated dishes. I think the reason why I like cooking is because I like eating well :)

I have experienced in rope access work. I enjoy been hanged from height and have a mision to accomplish although I am not travelling with a lot of equipment for it. I am very confortable working in heights with simple safety measures, like ladders, roof or trees.

I have basic experience with wood (crafting basic items), plastering and paiting walls. This has been done for personal use at home, not as proffesional but I am happy, (and hopefully) I can learn and improve.

My mother tongue is Spanish and I have lived in Malta for over 15 years where English is spoken so I am very confortable with both languages. I am happy to teach, help practice them if you need.

I have worked as rock climbing guide for years. I am very good at bringing begginers into self efficient climbers. I enjoy using the rope techniques.

I was a scout for 10 years when I was younger. We used to go to the countryside camping and learn all kind of skills, like knots, making fire, be part of nature, work as a team, respectful to wild life.

Im good at talking to people, organising them and leading a group. I am not afraid of talking to a crowd.

I am flexible, eager willing to learn, and I motivated.

I enjoy talking and practice about personal grow. I enjoy listening about the experience of other people in this matter and the process how they got there.
I enjoy conversations over a game of cards and board games. I enjoy in particular the games where you need to lie and people catch your lies.
