Hola, Hallo, Hello!

I'm Cara, 21 years young, and I live in Germany, in Mannheim, where I am a student in business administration. I love to dance and meet up with friends. I also really enjoy hanging out with my doggo and going for walks. But there’s so much more to me:

Why do I want to work abroad? I've figured out that I need a little break from all the hustle and bustle here in Germany and want some time away to reconnect with life and nature, experience some adventures, travel, be free-minded, and gain more cultural knowledge. I look forward to meeting new people and learning more about the culture abroad. Also, I have been learning Spanish at the university and really wish to strengthen my skills there, as I haven't quite had the chance to use it in real-life situations yet.

Who am I really? I consider myself a very open and positive-minded person who loves to be around people; my social battery has never run out ever! I love bringing joy to other people, which is why I also volunteer in an organization at my uni where I organize all the social and cultural events to bring people together and create great memories. I am also great with children, as I was a team leader of our local scout group for several years. This also brought a strong connection to nature to life: I have been backpacking to multiple countries in Europe and lived only in the woods in tents with my friends, and I have frankly enjoyed it. I have volunteered in Germany before , in an every group with disabled people, where I cooked them food and entertained them during the day. But besides all the fun stuff, I am also organized and diligent during the tasks I need to accomplish. I can work perfectly independently and can carry responsibility very well, which I learned in my last professional internships in the business sector. I am always open to learning new skills and consider myself a quick learner. I want to grow with all the tasks I'm given and like to be challenged!

Living with me: I would love to be in a social setting where I can make lots of friends and have good conversations. I make friends really quickly and I am super social and really easy to get close too quickly. But I can also respect individual boundaries or me-times, i am also totally fine with being with myself and recharging energy.

I would love to be able to strengthen my Spanish skills as I just learned it in the university but haven’t got the chance yet to use it in real life. With preparation I would definetly be able to teach German or English if needed, as I am pretty fluent and have also a little experience in giving student tutoring.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Language skills:
I am a native German speaker, fluent in English (C1), with good knowledge of Spanish (B2). Additionally, I have basic proficiency in French (B2), which I can strengthen if desired.

Social and Soft Skills:
I have experience organizing events as the head of the events and culture team in a student initiative at my university, fostering team cohesion and ensuring everyone creates good memories.

I have experience caring for children and ensuring their entertainment as a leader of the local scout club in my hometown for several years, organizing weekly meetings and summer camps.

In work environments, I am a good team player and communicator, proficient in organizing, structuring, and monitoring tasks for teams or projects. Additionally, I can work well independently.

Academic skills:
In my Business Administration studies, I learned a lot about managing organizations, their Human Resources, optimizing resource efficiency to enhance business profits, and refining business strategies. I also gained insights into advertisements, marketing communications, and customer responses.

Job Experience:
- 3-month internship in Consulting (focused on financial management of customer balance sheets and financial households).
- 2-month internship in Auditing (assisted in examining and evaluating financial records and processes to ensure compliance with regulations and accuracy in reporting).
- Retail: 1 year - Helping in retail of home decor and serving customers
-Custom service: 6 months - helping in a winery, serving and consulting customers
