Hello there!

My name is Camryn and I am so thrilled for the opportunity to learn about your way of life and to lend a helping hand wherever needed. I recently graduated with my BSc in Microbiology and Immunology back in April 2025, and I am looking to further my personal development through cultural exchange and volunteering. I love hiking, nature, animals (specifically dogs), French white wine, sunsets, and I am definitely a social person who enjoys the little moments in life.

Recently I have been feeling a need to contribute to something bigger than myself, and because my love for dogs runs so deep and is a very important part of my life, I am hoping to contribute to the well-being of dogs wherever possible whether that be a small shelter or a rehabilitation centre.

I am a very fast learner and am eager to help out whenever and wherever possible. I am excited to learn about new cultures and create new connections. I hope I will be able to fit your needs, and I look forward to connecting!

I have learned 4 languages so I am familiar with the teaching process and would like the opportunity to teach my native language. I took a year of German in university and fell in love with the culture and language complexity. I am also interested in learning Italian and Dutch .

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Childcare - I babysat when I was younger, I have experience with babies, toddlers, and I have 2 neices and a nephew all under the age of 6. I have respect for children as tiny humans and I value their curiosity and wonder for life.

Cleaning - I have worked part-time as a residential cleaner for two years. I am a tidy and clean person and value a tidy and clean living space.

Pet care - I have loved and cared for animals all my life. I have had hamsters, rabbits, frogs, dogs, and cats. I have trained puppies and cared for my elderly dog. I have a cat, a 50kg and a 13kg dog at home, so I can handle all kinds of animals.

Cooking/Baking - I love to cook and bake, I love trying new recipes and experimenting with new foods. I have Celiac Disease and I am lactose intolerant so I am also experienced in substituting ingredients for allergies.

Customer Service - I have worked in customer service for many years, from the ages of 16-22, my part-time jobs were focused around customer satisfaction. I have great people skills and know how to handle varying situations, including any miscommunication with care and patience. I believe in creating a positive experience no matter the circumstances.

Nature - I have lots of experience with nature. I spent my childhood camping with my parents all over the Maritimes. I was also in scouts when I was younger and I have been hiking for years.

Travelling - I have done lots of travelling all over Canada and Europe. I travel solo, so I very much so enjoy my own company. With each trip I take, I am reminded of my love for new cultures and environments. Through my travels, I have learned to roll wih the punches that life throws your way; I've learned to adapt to stressful situations and handle them with patience.

Life skills - I value open communication and honesty. I love to talk to new people and hear different stories and perspectives of life. I love to help others when I can and I am a very empathetic and sensitive person. I also like to think I am a very emotionally intelligent person who handles conflict with patience and understading.
