Description
Hey there! I'm Bruno, 26, born in Chile, raised in Brazil, and living in the United States.
I have been working as an engineer for the past 5 years and have been yearning for a solo trip ever since I can remember... so I quit my job am traveling the world for a year.
I lend myself primarily to physical labor ranging from technical crafting (woodwork, metalwork, landscaping) to simple lifting, hauling, and simple site work. I have experience working a food shelters, packaging, sorting and distributing, and doing quite a bit of landscaping with my family. Due to my profession, education, and hobbies, I also very capable with electronics/computers, have a strong passion for cooking, and some novice textiles skills. I like to learn new things, so if those skills don't apply/aid the help sought, I am an eager, attentive, and quick study so bring it on!
I am hoping to immerse myself in new cultures, learn about different cuisines, and meet people who can share their culture with me as I can share mine. In that endeavor, I hope to help communities, learn new skills, and enrich my life with connection to people and places. I am looking forward to self-discovery, adventure, learning, exchanging, and making friends!
Cheers!

Open to helping with Spanish and Portuguese. I'd love to have a Japanese speaker help me get my own journey with Japanese under way (it is very scattered), but in all honesty, I'd never turn away learning any language, I think that communication is the best gateway to understanding a culture!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I was a hobbyist woodworker/carpenter for 3 years. I had to set that hobby aside due to a lack of time between my other hobbies and my corporate job once it began. Lots of experience with many power and hand tools in projects ranging from personal items, to furniture, and even quite a bit of house repairs.
I also like tinker with electronics. I majored in Electrical engineering and still have a firm grasp on the fundamentals (I love to fix up old video game consoles) - including a bit of coding and lots of power distribution at the consumer level.
Apart from my technical skills, I am also adept at domestic chores. I have landscaping experience and have milled wood both manually and with a machine. I cook with PASSION! Both of my grandmothers' legendary recipes are slowly being accumulated but there is always room for more and lots of interest in international cuisines!

Autres infos...
I love seeing other peoples art and watching them in action, it often leaves me in awe.
I go through books like I eat food, quickly and very often. Fantasy has been my addiction as of late, but anything that provokes my analytical curiosity or forces emotional reflection are enjoyable too!
I enjoy doing almost anything outside, especially rock climbing (that's my main sport), volleyball, hiking, and mountain biking (laying on a hammock with Brazilian music is also an anytime activity).
I treasure my time alone but never shy away from time with others if it involves getting to know them, going out to the town, playing games, or even just spending a cozy time in.
People love to talk about themselves (myself included I guess), but really i'm interested in meeting others and seeing where our paths intersect, interests blend, hopefully forging new memories :)
