Hello and love to all!

We are Brigid and Ann, long-time friends and travel buddies who love going on adventures together, living by creative inspiration, sharing our gifts with others and co-creating loving community!

We have both worked as lawyers and law professors and love language and learning. We each have four grown kids who experienced different forms of education during their childhood, including many years of homeschooling which we did in a dynamic community-based way. During those years, we came together with many amazing families and community members to create learning co-ops, service and creative arts experiences, organic farming projects, group travel, activism, sports, internships, you name it! You could say it was a wonderful Workaway kind of life. : )

A very popular debate program created by Ann during those years has evolved into Westfield Academy, an award-winning debate, model U.N. and leadership school in which young people from all over the world learn to find their voice - for their own empowerment and to effect positive change in the world.

We are both light-hearted, fun-loving and easy-going. And we're spiritually oriented; we have regular daily practices (meditation/exercise/nature) that help keep us humming along. : )

We come to Workaway with loving hearts, eager to share, to listen and to contribute in all the ways that we can.

Would love to help others with English. Have experience with teaching it in a Workaway-like immersion program in Czech Republic.Used to speak pretty good Spanish and Italian and was fluent in French, but they have gotten rusty from lack of use. Would love to revive them!Recently started learning Hebrew and would love to practice conversation and keep improving.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We both have strong writing, speaking and teaching skills.

We are both patient, compassionate and caring with others (young, old and in-between) and with animals. Ann especially likes engaging with the younger set. Brigid especially likes engaging with elders. We are both welcoming, calm, confident - good with hospitality.

We both love the outdoors, nature, hiking, swimming, as well as helping with gardening.

We both enjoy preparing and eating healthy natural foods. We're happy to clean, organize, tidy, etc.

We both enjoy singing, praying, ceremony and are comfortable taking a lead.

Ann has had an awesome "hold the plank position" challenge going for over a year now and welcomes other "plankers" along for the fun!

We know some fun parlor games and card games we could share.

Brigid has had training and experience with end-of-life care/issues and welcomes opportunities to support/share with others.

We're both very interested in spirituality/philosophy and how they can transform our everyday lives.

We're both happy to share about homeschooling/unschooling, home birth/water birth, and about the US legal system.
