Hello Workaway Community

I was born and raised in Germany but have lived in subtropical Australia for the past 14 years.
With no tolerance for tropical summers anymore and a calling to venture to new horizons, I a taking off to experience Tasmania.
I'll be travelling in a small van, equipped for camping.

A mature traveller (born 1966), I enjoy contributing and sharing what is meaningful to you
while i can be perfectly happy in my own company.

Gardening has been a big part of my life, especially growing food.
In my late 20s another calling made me a midwife and health practitioner.
After migrating to Australia I have worked in Aged Care/Home Care as well as being a live-in-carer for some years in rural northern NSW.

A simple, rural lifestyle suits me well.
I can do most things around house and garden but avoid lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights around.

I'm known for tasty salads and can produce some decent cooked/baked goodies, too.
A healthy omnivore, I am very happy with a purely vegetarian diet, too. No special requirements.

Some experience with fibres, from knitting to weaving with natural fibres...

Singing is a big joy, esp with others.

I'm not a great small talker at times and I tend to avoid TV screens.
Other than that i am open minded, like to learn and generally do things with care and responsibility.
