My name is Benjamin and I am 32 years old from the UK. I work in museums and as a freelance historian on the side. After a few difficult years relating to health, I have decided it's time to get out there and have a few adventures after putting it off long enough!

I love meeting new people and building new friendships. I am calm, personable and always looking out for others. My interests are painting, reading, studying history and exploring nature. I'm not really into drinking or anything like that, I'm much happier with a cup of tea and a book! I believe everyone has their own unique story and that's what I love most about meeting new people. I could happily sit and talk to strangers all day just to listen to their stories about life!

I have done quite a bit of volunteering with museums around the UK and also a Men's mental health charity.

I'm afraid my language skills aren't incredible and I only speak English! However, I always want to learn new languages and try my best to understand some of the basics.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am an expert in Twentieth-century History and I am a confident writer and speaker (English). I have worked with media organisations such as PBS America, the BBC, National Geographic and Impossible Factual. I love meeting new people and making new friends from around the world.

I am skilled at cooking, simple repairs and basic housework. I am happy to clean, paint or do any DIY. I am confident working outdoors and at heights. I am comfortable with all kinds of animals, and own a cat myself. I will always try my best at something new and I am happy to help with most tasks.

In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors exploring nature. I love hiking and camping. When the weather isn't so good, I like to stay in and do some model making, reading or write article about history!

I really enjoy simple social activities such as cooking, watching movies, playing board games or just grabbing a coffee with someone. I like meeting new people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds because you can learn so much from listening to people.

I like to think of myself as quite easygoing and friendly. I always strive to help people and do what I can to support others!
