Dane:
Carpentry
I’ve worked as a carpenter for about 25 years. I specialize as a trim carpenter (fabricating and installing kitchen cabinets, door and window trim, and built-in shelving etc)…but have also spent plenty of time remodeling and framing homes.
Endurance athlete
I love running and cycling (particularly on trails). I once competed at an elite level in ultra-distance events, but now find simple joy and pleasure in the act itself. It’s particularly fulfilling for me to guide and coach people in harnessing their own strengths.
Farming
I have some experience with farm animals and general farming labor. I inherited and cared for a small farm of a couple horses, goats, pig, geese, cats and dogs. I have a general knowledge of maintaining schedules and keeping tidy spaces. I also enjoy general physical work with gardening, landscaping, and beyond.

Dane and Cole were mature, experienced and considerate as guests and helpers. Danes expertise with wood and Cole’s positive, enthusiastic approach to any task make them a formidable team!
We laughed a lot and enjoyed sharing experiences and viewpoints .
Veronica and I both felt that our time with this dynamic duo epitomises the ethos of Workaway.

We had a beautiful stay with Stu and everyone here. It was a mellow period, as they were taking some down time during the holidays. But we really appreciated the quiet, and still got a good sense of the communal living aspect of the space.

Our stay with Mish and Nigel was full of hard work, group fun (especially around the dinner table), and valuable learning moments.

We loved Cole and Dane staying with us; they brought a wonderful calm and kind presence to our workaway community.
