Description

Hi! We are María Belén and Pablo, a couple from Argentina currently living in a small coastal town in Australia. From February onwards we’ll start traveling through different countries, looking to experience local life in each place we visit.
We truly believe that the best way to get to know a country is by connecting with its people — especially in small towns or rural areas, where you can really feel the rhythm of daily life. We prefer to stay away from massive tourism and instead look for meaningful cultural exchanges.

Back in Argentina, we volunteered in national parks, helping with conservation tasks and maintenance of trails and visitor areas. Here in Australia, we’ve also been doing work exchanges, helping with gardening, general maintenance, and small community projects. We’ve found these experiences incredibly enriching and they’ve inspired us to keep traveling this way.

About us personally
I amia social worker and also studied landscape design for several years, so I have knowledge in gardening, horticulture, and general design. I enjoy cooking, trying different kinds of food, and spending time outdoors.

Pablo has a background in computing, but his true passion lies in music. He works as a manager, music producer, curator, and collector of CDs and vinyl records. He is also a DJ. He enjoys swimming, practicing yoga, and of course, listening to music.

We’re both adaptable, responsible, and enjoy working in teams. We value simplicity, kindness, and curiosity.

We’re looking forward to meeting new people, learning from each place, and hopefully giving a small contribution wherever we go!

Yes! Our native language is Spanish. Bel speaks advanced English and Pablo has an intermediate level. We’re always interested in learning the basics of the local language in the places we visit, and we’d be happy to share and teach basic Spanish or English during our stay.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We enjoy outdoor and hands-on work. In Argentina we volunteered in national parks, which involved using basic tools, carrying materials, and working on maintenance and conservation tasks. We’ve also had our own vegetable gardens in Buenos Aires and have good knowledge of plant care. We like helping with gardening, general maintenance, and any kind of outdoor project.

We’re practical, proactive, and enjoy hands-on work. We are open to learning new skills. We’re reliable, friendly, and easy to get along with.

We enjoy spending time outdoors, drinking mate (a traditional Argentine beverage), listening to music, watching sunsets, and cooking. Depending on the place we are, we love adapting to local activities and learning from the community — that’s what really interests us.
