Hi! My name is Barbora and I am 25. I live in a small city called Lipník nad Bečvou, Czech Republic.

After finishing my university studies in cultural anthropology and sociology I worked at school for a year as a teaching assistant. It was a very nice job and I loved the time I spent with children.
Generally I love playing with children, feeling their freedom, neverending energy, frankness...

Originally I wanted to study pedagogy at university but my hours of pedagogy at secondary school were not interesting ...so I decided not to go this way...
When I visited Srí Lanka in 2023 I met so beautiful, great children there. Small monks in the temple. I spent one and half month with them - teaching them English in the morning, playing with them in the afternoon. Since then I have been dreaming about experiencing another volunteering with children... and here it is... Kenya!

I will mention now what else makes me happy :)
Nature ..the best therapist.. If I sometimes go sad to the nature I always go calm and happy back home. I love dancing, ceramics - I did a course so now I can have classes for children. I enjoy playing any kind of sport games - for 10 years I played basketball.
I am interested in ecology, zero waste and gardening as well.

I am so much looking forward to my new workaway experience!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experiences from a kindergarten and a school club - that was during my secondary shcool intership. During my university studies I had a parti time job at school as a teacher for a boy with autism and mental disability. After that I started a one year contract as a teaching assistant.
This May I finished my one year course to become a teacher in the forest kindergartens.
