Hi, Harry here, welcome to our profile! Our story starts on a cold night in Bournemouth, England, after a few too many cocktails a young Norwegian stumbled into me. I turned around to see a great big smile staring back to me. The rest is history. We have many interests, some similar, some not - but we both have a great sense of adventure. What better way than to work with locals and immerse ourselves in local culture.

We’ve had great experience with Workaway so far from building at a farm stay and supporting a Yoga Retreat (general help and art projects) in Jamaica to helping cook meals and house sit at an animal rescue centre in US Virgin Islands.

We would be so grateful if you would allow us to join your project. We want to learn from you and give as much back as possible.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Astrid:
I have had many jobs throughout in a variety of fields. I started out as a gymnastics instructor at the age of 13 and then worked in the service industry for a few years. Including restaurants and clothing stores. During my time at the university I worked as a student ambassador, representing Bournemouth University mostly through open day tours. I have also volunteered at many festivals doing a variety of jobs. I am currently working in an events management company in Oslo. Primarily as a project assistant, but I also have some experience as project manager. My job is very stressful, but I enjoy the speed and amazing variety in the things I get to be a part of.
Harry:
Whilst at college I worked in customer service at a local gym. I then went to University to study exercise science. I fund-raised for a charity by climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro whilst studying. After university I joined a local insurance company where I have now worked for 3 years in sales and customer service. I enjoy working in a team and working towards joint targets. I have also completed a course in DIY plastering - I enjoy DIY and fixing things. After my recent travels I decided to "mix things up" and am now training to become a landscape artist/ gardener.

We love cooking, hiking, snorkelling, animals and being in nature. With our spare time we’re eager to get outside and into nature or enjoy time sociably. We enjoy live music, dancing, pub quizzes, playing pool, for example.
