We are Anke and Olaf :-)

About Anke
Anke was born and grew up in East Berlin. Since 2004 I've been living in Brandenburg - near Berlin, together with my husband Olaf and our children.

After school, I trained as a bookseller - a job that I still love! After my studies and doctorate, I worked as a manager for many years - until I founded The Future Living with a friend in 2019. www.thefutureliving.com
The company supports the transformation of companies, cities and universities into ecologically and socially sustainable organisations.

I love hiking.
For many years, I have regularly walked long-distance hiking trails alone or with friends. I've been to the Karwendel mountains, Königssee and the Stubai Valley.
In summer 2024, I hiked for 3 months - along the Via di Francesco and the E5.

Olaf and I are interested in communal living.
In 2023, we initiated our own housing project (nele-gemeinschaft.de). Here, people could try out living together with others for a limited period of time.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a business and social science background and I founded 3 business on my own.
With that experience, I know a lot about the things you need to set up and succeed with your own company. There is a wide range from product development, enabling and leading collegues, setting up business plans, creating and conducting marketing measures such as website and social media, finding and applying for funding, tax knowledge and much more.

I do have some knowledge in everyday activities, too :-) For instance I am a pretty good cook (my pumpkin casserole is famous among the family as well as my chicken soup).
We do have a garden, so I learnt over the last 20 years to maintain it and grow potatoes, pumkins, cucumbers, salad and much more.

For a few years now I have started to take singing lessons. I love to sing and hope that I will be brave enough to do it with people around,
