Description
Hi there! I'm a friendly and open-minded traveler from Japan who loves exploring new places and connecting with people from different backgrounds. Through Workaway, I hope to meet local people, experience new cultures, and support communities through volunteer work.
Although I currently live in Tokyo, I grew up in a quiet rural town surrounded by nature. I’ve always enjoyed spending time with children and the elderly in my neighborhood, and I find joy in building relationships across generations.
When I was in middle school, I led a small project to help revitalize my hometown’s shopping street. More recently, in March 2025, I spent a month volunteering in a mountain village in northern Thailand. Living with a local family, I experienced daily life in the community and helped out through small but meaningful ways. Despite language barriers, we formed strong bonds, and saying goodbye was emotional for everyone involved.
I'm currently learning English as my second language, and while I’m not yet fluent, I’m highly motivated to improve through real-life experiences. I'm especially excited to practice using English in a meaningful way, while offering help and support wherever I can.
I enjoy teamwork and am always eager to try something new. I believe that mutual respect and kindness can overcome any cultural or language difference. I’m looking forward to meeting inspiring people and creating unforgettable memories through Workaway!

Yes, I’m very interested in both learning and teaching languages. I can help others learn Japanese, and I’m also comfortable supporting beginner-level English learning. On the other hand, I would love to improve my own English, especially in areas like hospitality and customer service. I’m also deeply interested in learning local and minority languages wherever I go. No matter what region I volunteer in, I’m always eager to learn the local language as a way to better connect with people and understand their culture.

I have a variety of skills and experiences that I would love to bring to any Workaway opportunity:
Hospitality:
Since I was 15 (in 2020), I have worked part-time in customer service, where I developed basic hospitality and communication skills. I’m used to interacting with people in a polite and friendly manner, and enjoy helping guests feel welcome and comfortable.
Agriculture & DIY:
I grew up in a rural area where my grandparents are involved in farming, so I’ve helped with tasks like harvesting vegetables, sorting produce, and watering plants. During a volunteer trip to Thailand, I also took part in road construction for a week, including hands-on experience with painting and laying concrete.
Education & Working with Children:
One of my favorite volunteer experiences was visiting local elementary schools in a mountainous area of Thailand, where I taught Japanese culture, supported basic English learning, and played with the children. I enjoy working with kids and creating a warm, positive atmosphere for them.
Language Skills:
I’m a native Japanese speaker and currently studying English (conversational level) to improve my fluency. I’m also learning how to read and write basic Thai. I’m highly motivated to improve my language skills through real-life communication.
Creative & Digital Skills:
I have experience managing social media for a tennis school, creating posters, and designing T-shirts for events. I enjoy creative tasks and can support visual or promotional projects using basic design tools.
Other Strengths:
I’m a people person—friendly, approachable, and always smiling! I value teamwork and kindness, and I’m always ready to support others in any way I can. People often tell me that I bring a cheerful and positive energy to any group.
I’m excited to contribute to new communities, learn new things, and grow through every experience!

In my free time, I love watching movies and Japanese anime. I’m a big fan of summer and absolutely love spending time by the sea. Living in Tokyo, I enjoy trying foods from different countries—there’s always something new and delicious to discover! When I’m back at home, I often bake sweets and find it very relaxing.
I enjoy both quiet moments in calm places and social time in lively environments. I tend to be more of a night person, and while I value having time alone, I usually prefer being around others and sharing experiences together.
I’m very open to different cultures and always curious to learn more—so I’d love to hear about yours! I enjoy spending time with people, and I especially love being around children and animals. Whether it’s helping out, sharing stories, or just enjoying a peaceful day together, I look forward to meaningful connections wherever I go.
