Hello, I am Anna,

I have recently finished one year´s volunteering program in a permaculture eco village and currently I am looking for new challenges that would help me to grow as a person and expand my skills. I like contributing to meaningful projects that involve permaculture, eco-conscious living practices, tree planting, emotional health, personal development, teaching and youth projects. My friends describe me rather as a joyful, calm, patient and empathetic person with a great ability to step into other people’s shoes and feel what they feel. I genuinely care for people and I sincerely do my best to ensure that people in my surrounding feel comfortable, welcomed, seen and heard. I am also a reliable person therefore I like to make sure that all tasks that I have started will get completed and done with a good precision. I like working in small teams but I am also fully capable to work independently if I get clear instructions.

When it comes to engaging with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, I am quite used to it as I've volunteered in various international projects before.
I lived in a community with people from different countries for a year. It was fascinating to navigate and manage our differences, especially when it came to various communication styles.

I think workaway offers an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge therefore I appreciate if hosts and volunteers come with a mindset of mutual giving and receiving. I believe it's crucial to be open-minded and adaptable to diverse cultural and personal backgrounds and have an openness to find together solutions that work for both hosts and volunteers. I appreciate a lot if hosts are willing to take their time and energy to share knowledge and experience, as I like widening my knowledge and horizons. In general I'm open to new ideas and perspectives, but I also value the opportunity to contribute my own insights, if I think they would bring value.

As I studied foreign languages and linguistics I like exploring languages as a tool to communicate in international environments. I am interested in nonviolent communication and I try to incorporate its techniques into my interactions. I believe it's valuable to learn how to effectively communicate our needs and boundaries while maintaining a respectful manner. I love hiking, spending time in nature, playing music, and taking photos. I'm excited about the opportunity to volunteer, share my diverse skill set, and learn from enriching experiences.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

✔I have a few years experience of working with children. During my years at the university I got to volunteer in a children' day care centre, where I got to organise free time activities and helped children with their homework. I also worked as a substitute teacher in kindergartens for a few years.

✔ I like playing guitar and I am very happy to share my musical skills through musical interactions for fun and learning.

✔ I also got to teach international volunteers participating in an EU funded project some Swedish language. I can help people to learn any of the languages I know: some English, Lithuanian or Swedish.

✔ I have experience in making homemade, natural and organic skincare products such as soaps, shampoo bars, deodorants, creams, toothpastes and using aromatherapy as a natural remedy, often for boosting the body when having a cold or various aches.

✔I have some experience in permaculture gardening

✔ I have some basic knowledge how to restore wooden furnitures

✔I make delicious and healthy raw dessert with nuts and dried fruits, also I can cook diverse delicious vegan and vegetarian meals.

A little bit of everything and always ready and eager to learn more and help out :)
