Hello there!
As a recently graduated young adult I am now seeking to explore a bit of the world and obtain different kinds of experiences before moving on to University.

All my life I have enjoyed to travel and have visited several countries with my family as well as on my own, for instance my exchange year to Ireland where I have learned to adapt to a life in a host family of another country with another language and culture. I therefore can say that I am open-minded and adaptable to a new situation.

I would consider myself to be communicative and to have an interest in meeting people and experiencing new cultures and lifestyles. Hobbies of mine are drawing, reading or creative writing and I used to play tennis until recently.

Another aspect I would be interested in is learning and/or improving my language skills, I am a native German speaker fluent in English and advanced in French and Spanish, both of which I have been studying for 5 to 6 years, however I get very little of the much needed practice in those languages so I am looking forward to changing that.

Personally I think languages are very important for traveling and getting to know other cultures, both of which I have an interest in. I would gladly further develop my language skills or perhaps help others to do so.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am highly adaptable and eager to learn new things and provide whichever help I can. My exchange year has showed me that I am able to adjust to a new environment and learn to fit in.

Through my education, especially during the pandemic, I have for example learned great time management skills as I had to work on my own schedule and manage all the projects and overall schoolwork freely.

However I also work well in a team, through my school’s focus on working in groups and numerous projects I have learned to communicate with others and work towards a common goal.

Additionally my recent workaway experience has taught me or improved my skill with kids as I have stayed with two families where my job was to take care of them as well as things like cook, clean, tidy and other daily chores or projects. One of those families also had an online eco shop where I helped out with packing orders, sorting the new arrivals, etc. On another workaway I have learned things about renovating a house with tasks like removing wallpaper, sandpapering, painting, filling/re-plastering walls (I’m not entirely sure how to say that in English), and similar things.

With German as my native language and being fluent in English and advanced in Spanish and French I have an interest in languages and perhaps as well the teaching of such.
