Hello, I'm Alice!
Since oct 5th 2025 I will be on a gap year and traveling through East and South East Asia. I will be focusing on doing photography, and learning new visual arts techniques (drawing, printing, painting) and crafts. I am also trying to learn more about manual labor like fixing and building things around the house.

I'm a lover of the outdoors so definitely looking forwards to lots of hiking, biking and new sports to try like snorkeling, diving, kayak. I absolutely love animals and caring for them makes me happy.

In the city I love cultural and alternative spaces that focus on community, electronic music clubs, urban exploring, thrift shopping, gaming cafes. I love all things IT and computers and I am trying to learn more but for now I don't know much ;)

It's my first time using Workaway but not my first time traveling. I've been backpacking Europe, North Africa and the Middle East and I moved to Belgium from Italy 7 years ago. I also did hospitality exchanges a lot (couch surfing first, host a sister now). I love getting to know new people, sharing experiences and perspectives, discovering new places, enjoying the small thing.

I get along easily with people, and I am a straightforward person, that likes to keep things simple and fun. I like helping people out and being useful, and I can easily adapt to different situations. I have worked in hospitality for the past 10 years so I'm quite good with working in a group, managing conflict and doing manual work.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm creative and artsy and good with decorating and improving, problem solving, creating.
I'm a very good cook, I cook vegetarian/vegan and I can adapt to many dietary restrictions.
I'm good at caring for animals and pets, I have lots of experience especially with dogs and cats. I used to help out in shelters as a kid.
I have good manual skills but lack experience - I am very interest in improving and learning more about building and fixing stuff.

I have good people skills and customer service skills, good organization and managing skills. I've been working in restaurants and cafes for 10 years, I am a specialized coffee barista and was a manager for a while.
I'm a photographer, I studied marketing and know a bit about content creation, advertising, etc.
Basic garden care and sewing skills.
