We are a British-French couple, both 28 years old, who are doing a career break and have been travelling and working around Australia for the past 10 months on a Working Holiday Visa.

Since arriving, we've had the chance to experience a wide variety of jobs, including landscaping, construction and bartending. While these experiences have taught us valuable practical skills, what we have enjoyed most is meeting new people, discovering different ways of life and stepping outside of our comfort zones.

What motivates us most is the opportunity to learn, share experiences and create genuine connections with others. We love being outdoors, working with our hands, and contributing to meaningful projects where we can see the results of our efforts. We are curious, open-minded and always eager to learn new skills, whether that's gardening, DIY projects, caring for animals or simply helping out wherever needed.

The things that bring us happiness are often quite simple: spending time in nature, sharing good food and conversations, meeting people from different backgrounds, and feeling part of a community. We believe that some of the best travel experiences come from cultural exchange and living alongside local people rather than just passing through as tourists.

After nearly a year in Australia, we're now looking for a new and more personal experience. We're excited to slow down a little, immerse ourselves in a different environment, contribute positively to a host's project, and learn new skills.

We are reliable, respectful, easy-going and enthusiastic, and we look forward to meeting people who are willing to share a small part of their world with us.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Over the past 10 months in Australia, we have both gained a wide range of practical skills through different jobs and life experiences. While we are always eager to learn new things, we believe our strongest qualities are our adaptability, positive attitude, and willingness to get involved wherever help is needed.

ALEXIS: I have experience in landscaping and construction, where I have developed strong practical skills and a good work ethic. I am comfortable with physically demanding work, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and using a variety of tools and equipment. My landscaping experience includes garden maintenance, planting, mulching, lawn care, and general property upkeep. Through construction work, I have also gained experience with site preparation, labouring tasks, teamwork on job sites, and following safety procedures.

I enjoy hands-on work and take pride in doing tasks properly. I am reliable, hardworking, and always happy to learn new practical skills. Whether it's gardening, maintenance, building projects or general outdoor work, I am keen to contribute wherever needed.


OLIVIA: I have a strong background in customer service and hospitality, including bartending and working directly with customers in fast-paced environments. I am organised, friendly, and confident communicating with people from different backgrounds. My experience has helped me develop excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay positive and professional under pressure.

Alongside my hospitality experience, I am adaptable, proactive, and happy to help with a wide variety of tasks. I enjoy working as part of a team, meeting new people, and creating a welcoming atmosphere wherever I am.


TOGETHER: As a couple, we work very well together and are used to adapting to new environments. We are respectful, responsible, and easy to live with. We are both happy to help with gardening, cleaning, painting, general maintenance, caring for animals, cooking, household tasks, and any day-to-day jobs that make life easier for our hosts.

Most importantly, we come with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to contribute to the projects and people we encounter along the way.

Outside of work, we both enjoy staying active, learning new things, and spending quality time with people.

ALEXIS: I am passionate about sports and enjoy almost any kind of physical activity. I also love playing chess, tackling DIY projects, and learning practical skills. Music is a big part of my life, I played the piano for 15 years. On quieter evenings, you'll often find me enjoying a board game.

OLIVIA: I am a creative person who loves painting and expressing myself through art. I also enjoy playing the piano and find a lot of joy in volunteering and helping others. Cooking is one of my favourite hobbies, especially when it involves sharing meals and discovering new recipes from different cultures.

TOGETHER: We enjoy spending time outdoors, meeting new people, sharing stories, and learning about different ways of life. We appreciate both active days and relaxed evenings, whether that's exploring nature, cooking together, playing board games, or simply enjoying good conversations around a table.

We're always happy to share our interests with others and are equally excited to learn about the hobbies, traditions, and experiences of the people we meet along the way.
