DIY, building and restoration. Anything creative, tiling, mosaic, painting, decorating and mural work. Basic carpentry. Designing and problem solving both architectural and interior design.

Description

We are a married couple of 20 years and are both architects by profession. We quit our jobs back in 2017 and fully renovated 2 houses in UK before travelling the world. After returning home after COVID we founded a small decorating and home improvements company for more hands on design and crafting projects. We are keen to experience each country we visit from as many aspects as possible and believe volunteering is a great way to achieve this. We would like to join projects where we can apply our knowledge but also learn about local/traditional building technique or anything where we can apply our creativity.
I am also very comfortable in the kitchen and love cooking for people. Food has been passion as we've travelled the world and I look forward to sharing my food with those on my volunteering projects

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As architects, we are both creative problem-solvers with a keen eye for detail, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard. Having renovated two houses, we have solid DIY skills and aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty. We’re comfortable using a range of tools, including power tools, and have experience with carpentry (hanging doors, cutting and assembling wood, carving), tiling, and decorating.

We also enjoy artistic projects and are skilled in drawing and painting—Jesse even shares portrait work on Instagram. Additionally, I have a strong passion for food and cooking, particularly in exploring local cuisines. With extensive travel experience, I enjoy preparing dishes from around the world and would love to contribute in the kitchen.

Previously, we worked in hospitality including cafes, restaurants and shops and more recently managed our own Airbnb in Manchester so comfortable dealing with guests and their needs
