Hello hello!! My name is Tinhinane. I'm originally from Algeria, and have been living in montreal for almost 20 years now (and I love it here.)

When I grow up, I want to be a cultural psychologist. After getting my BA in psychology, I decided that, instead of plunging head first into a grueling (but ultimately rewarding, I hope) four year doctorate program, I was going to travel the world, broaden my horizon and truly experience culture outside the confines of a classroom. I have been a workaway volunteer for a year now, but I was doing so with a friend, and when I switched my profile for an individual one, I lost my feedbacks :( HOWEVER, above are some of the pictures I took when I was volunteering in Peru, hoping to make a lot more memories like that!

I just asked my mom how she would describe me in three words and she said: warm, elegant, and persevering. That sums it up well I believe, but I'd like to add that I'm very much of a social butterfly, LOVE meeting new people, being active, smiling constantly, and learning! I have experience working and volunteering in a variety of fields (child care, teaching, hospitality, healthcare, research...) But my ultimate goal is to be a jack of all trade, so I am ready to try my hand at anything life throws in my way!

Fun fact about me, I always have a lipstick in my pocket.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have previously been an elementary substitute teacher for two school years, and when I wasn't teaching the program, I was coming up with fun activities, outing, and school project with the kids. Some of my fondest memories are from that time period in my life. I also have experience with children with cognitive disabilities, and have an applied behavioral analysis certificate.

I feel like my main skills are with interacting with other people, and so, I would be good with anything regarding hospitality & guest Services. I am comfortable meeting new people and can make guests feel welcome anywhere. Also, I am fluent in English, French, Amazigh (from Algeria), plus i have familiarity with cultural differences.

I cook most of my meals, can adapt recipes, and am comfortable with varied diets. Am used to making modifications when necessary.

I also have experience with Instagram and TikTok campaign planning (from volunteering in marketing and event planning work)
