Hello everyone!

I'm Aleth, 25 year old, from Barcelona. I generally introduce myself when I write to hosts, depending on what I think that might be nice to share. But in global, I did my first workaway in Portugal last year, it was a beautiful experience that made me so happy. I've also been travelling and getting to know people and projects through other means. It always has been nice to be able to spend some days or weeks somewhere and get to know each other by sharing the day to day live.

Apart from that I've recently graduated as a doctor in med school and I will be taking the exam to apply for a residency next january. In the meanwhile I expect to travel a bit, get to know new people and it would be super nice to find a place where I can stay longer in order to study. However that would be from September on, in the summer I'll just be doing the fun part :)

Even though being a doctor is a big part of my life, I sometimes don't really like to introduce myself from here because it kind of puts me in a place where I don't really relate. I'm so much into art, I love and enjoy it in all of its forms. I'm a big fan of movement in general, not much time ago I started doing aerial silks and honestly I love it. Actually it would be amazing to be able to train a little bit during the volunteering.

I care for community and I'm concerned about trying to find ways to love and to care better. I deeply think that in order to do so, political involvement is essential. Love cannot be found in capitalistic, patriarchal, racist structures. So for me love is absolutely and radically political. Probably that is the biggest part of myself, and I try to bring that in my life in general and into medicine in particular the best way that I can. Every person, project and community that tries to build, connect and exist outside the capitalistic rush and misery is a gift to get to know and share

As workaway is about exchange, I am willing to help people who host me with anything I can. I don't know much of anything and a little of everything, but I learn fast and I'd definitely like to. I can cook, do some gardening, housework, clean, take care of animals, and whatever is needed.
