Description

My name is Ainhoa (Basque name), I'm a 28 years old workawayer, passionate about animals and alternative, conscious ways of living. I consider myself an easy-going, open-minded, and respectful person. In my day-to-day life, I work for an NGO dedicated to human rights, particularly focusing on issues related to political violence. You could say I have a soft spot for long, after-meal conversations—what we call 'sobremesa' in Spanish.

I’ve already had some wonderful experiences through Workaway, in both Sardinia and Bonn. When I was 20, a friend and I travelled to Martis (Sardinia), where we stayed on a farm with some truly lovely people (I still have great memories of our time with Gio, Andrea, Serena, and the other volunteers). During our stay, I helped out with the animals, the vegetable garden, and the vineyard. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the following year!

In 2021, I had my first solo Workaway experience, and again, it couldn’t have gone better. I spent a couple of weeks with a family on a farm in Bonn, Germany, helping with animal care and general maintenance around the house. Through these experiences, I’ve learned not only to collaborate well with others but also to work independently and take initiative when needed.

I’m now looking for hosts who are open to sharing their daily life with volunteers and who encourage active involvement in their projects.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

On previous projects, I have helped on vegetable gardens, taking care of animals (i.e.: dogs, cats, goats), cooking, maintaining vineyards, and harvesting crops.

I am a practical person and I know how to find creative solutions to the problems that I find on my way. Always trying to value the moment and building good memories out of it.
