Hello, Aloha, Ahn young, Hola! I am a fun loving 30 y/o Korean American from NY who loves to travel and meet people from all over the world. I enjoy deep intellectual conversations and connecting with others, especially those who come from different backgrounds and cultures. My hobbies include the outdoors (hiking, surfing, longboarding, walking, biking, swimming). Music, art, reading, children/animals, photography, poetry, stand up comedy makes me soul feel ALIVE! I am fascinated by studies of spirituality, holistic health & wellness, eastern medicine, philosophy, sociology, psychology/mental health, anthropology, etc.

I studied Sociology in undergrad and have experience volunteering in Ecuador building houses, schools and clean-ups. I lived abroad teaching English in Thailand and lived in Cape Town, South Africa volunteering through Workaway. I would like to think of myself as very curious, adventurous, laid back, kind, compassionate and open-minded. I enjoy holistic practices and love doing yoga and meditation in my free time. I am a nature lover and strive to protect this beautiful earth for as long as I can. I thought joining Workaway would be the perfect platform to experience something new, while also helping others and enjoying good company!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have experience cooking and cleaning - basically anything you need around the house. I can also help out outside - gardening, plants, etc. I come from a family orientated household so I have lots of experience babysitting and caring for children ages 3-teens. I am a proud animal lover! Feeding them, cleaning up after them, and giving them all the love in the world is no problem. Cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, pigs, etc you name it. I am very willing and enjoy helping out - so if there is any skill I don't have, we would be very eager to learn on the go.

I love cooking and trying out different vegetarian recipes! I love to venture out and try new cuisines as well. Food is life!!

Mikhyle and Julia are are a great couple; hard working, plugged into what needed to be done with positive attitudes; in-spite of the understandably hard work, especially for Mikhyle. We spent 3 weeks at Sally and Pieter's organic farm. We couldn't have asked for a better Workaway opportunity. We did a range of different jobs from cleaning, weeding, harvesting crops, planting crops, digging, juicing etc. We learned so much about organic farming. We stayed at the sanctuary for a month and a half. We absolutely loved volunteering here and definitely recommend it to anyone who loves animals. Nicky and Rohan were amazing hosts. Julia and Mikhyle are very hard workers, showing a commitment beyond what was asked of them. They picked up very quickly all the tasks of the farm and fell in love with the animals. The experience was good. We focused mostly on the gardening and did weeding, planting and a bit of harvesting. We also prepared the accommodation for guests as well. The place is peaceful and surrounded by outeniqua forest. Crosby and Captain are great, the dogs make it extra special and are extremely friendly.
