Hi! I’m Agata, I’m 23 years old and I come from Switzerland. 🇨🇭

I recently finished my Master’s degree in English and Sports, and I’m currently completing my teacher training to become a high school teacher.

I’m a very open-minded, positive and curious person. I love meeting new people, discovering different cultures and experiencing everyday life in new places. I really enjoy spending time with others, but I’m also independent and happy to take initiative when something needs to be done.

Sport and being active are a big part of my life. I love being outdoors, hiking, running, going to the mountains and generally spending time in nature. I also enjoy travelling, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and trying new things.

I come from a big family – I have eight siblings! – so I’m very used to sharing spaces, helping out, being around children and adapting to different people and situations. 😊

I speak Italian, English, French and German.

Rather than just travelling as a tourist, I would love to spend time with local people, help with everyday life and projects, and really get to know the Kiwi culture.

I’m easy-going, responsible and always happy to learn something new.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a variety of experiences and skills that I would be happy to share during my Workaway experience.

I have a background in sports and outdoor activities. I studied Sports at university and I’m a qualified ski instructor, so I’m very comfortable being active, working with people and spending time outdoors. I also completed the Camino de Santiago, which was an amazing experience that taught me a lot about independence, adaptability and meeting people from all over the world.

I also have experience working with children and teenagers through teaching, sports and babysitting. Coming from a big family with eight siblings has also made me very used to helping out, sharing responsibilities and being around children of different ages.

Languages are another important part of my background. I speak Italian, English, French and German, and I’m always happy to practise or teach languages to others.

I’m practical and happy to help with everyday tasks around the house, cooking, cleaning, organising, looking after children or helping with outdoor activities. I’m a quick learner, so I’m also very open to learning new skills and helping with things I haven’t done before.

Most importantly, I’m flexible, responsible and not afraid to get involved and give things a try!
