We are currently in Argentina, preparing everything for our big move to the Netherlands. We have our flight tickets confirmed and we will be arriving in Amsterdam on May 19th

Hi there! We are a charismatic, proactive, and very responsible married couple (31 and 28 years old), excited to start our new chapter in the Netherlands. I am an Italian Citizen (EU Passport), and my wife Candelaria travels with full EU residency and work rights. We are a clean and respectful team, arriving in Amsterdam on May 19th.

Although we are new to the Workaway community, we are definitely not new to hard work. I (Abraham) spent 15 months living and working in New Zealand, where I gained extensive experience in fieldwork and outdoor labor. I’m used to physical tasks, long days, and being resourceful in different environments.

We are specifically looking for a 3-week placement in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, or nearby cities (like Schiedam, Delft, or Dordrecht) before moving into our long-term room in early June.

Our Skills:

Abraham: I’m a very handy person. I have a strong background in general maintenance (repairs, painting, and fixing things) and I enjoy cooking for a team. My time in New Zealand taught me to be adaptable and efficient in any manual task.

Candelaria: She has extensive experience in hospitality, professional cleaning (housekeeping), and customer service. She is very charismatic, great with people, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and spotless environment.

What motivates us:
We find joy in being useful and seeing the results of a job well done. We are very social, 'people-oriented,' and extremely tidy. In our free time, we enjoy exploring with our camera, capturing the beauty of new places, and staying active. We are non-smokers and very respectful of house rules!

What we want to learn: "We are very motivated to improve our English through daily conversation. Also, since we are starting our new life in the Netherlands, we are very excited to learn basic Dutch phrases (like greetings and common expressions) to show respect to the local culture and better integrate into the community."

Abraham:
General Maintenance & DIY: I am very handy with all kinds of workshop tools. I have experience in home appliance repair and general maintenance. I can fix things, paint, and handle minor electrical or mechanical issues.

Gardening & Outdoor Maintenance: I am experienced in park and garden maintenance, using lawnmowers, trimmers, and keeping outdoor areas in perfect shape.

Kitchen & Support: I enjoy cooking and I’m a fast learner when it comes to following new recipes or managing kitchen logistics.

Candelaria:
Hospitality & Housekeeping: Professional experience in high-standard cleaning, laundry, and customer service. She is meticulous and ensures every space is spotless.

Cooking & Pastry: Besides her hospitality skills, she is very talented in the kitchen, specifically in baking and pastry. She can prepare delicious meals and sweet treats for guests or the team.

Reception & Care: Excellent at welcoming people, handling check-ins, and providing a warm, professional atmosphere.
