Hi there!! We are Abby and Jacob and are super excited to start traveling and working together. Jacob has done a couple work aways on his own last year in Hawaii. This time it will be the 2 of us as a couple! Our interests often differ, yet meet with a connection to food. Jacob has been cooking professionally for 4 years and Abby has been farming on small scale market farms for 3 years. This summer Abby was hired on as Farm Manager to run a small scale farm to table restaurant in Bozeman, MT. Jacob has taken a little break from restaurants and is also working on a different market farm here in Bozeman. We both care deeply about what we put in and on our body's, but also realize that some things in moderation can be healthy. Spending time outdoors with each other brings us lots of joy. We've started playing a lot of pickleball together, Jacob and his friends love climbing and skiing, whereas Abby loves hiking, paddle boarding, and reading. We are excited to bring our interests and skills to various workaway opportunities, learn from the people we get to live and work with, and find connection and community wherever we go!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As said previously, Abby has been farming for a few years now and has extensive knowledge about organic and sustainable farming/gardening techniques. She also works with children and volunteers in the gardens and has created lesson plans for kids around the topics of gardening, cooking, and local food systems. Abby is hardworking, extremely kind hearted, and will always give 100% into whatever she does. Jacob is a fantastic cook, and aspiring chef. He is adaptable and quick to pick up on new talents/ways of living. He has proven to be proficient in creating thoughtful menus, connecting with local farmers and producers in his food creations, and continuously trying new things and growing his knowledge and talent in cooking. Together, we can offer any work away host our hard work and dedication, skills and interest in working in the garden and the kitchen, and connecting with others and sharing our passions with people of all ages.
