Hello!

Welcome to my profile! My name is Aaron (24) and I live in Spain (Canary Islands).

To know a little more about me, I will begin by commenting on the reasons that have led me to volunteer in this year 2024.
In mid-2022 I finished my studies in Psychology and this year I completed my postgraduate degree in Human Resources. The truth is that I have spent the last years of my life focused on the academic - work world. During this time the idea of undertaking a trip of several months that allows me to leave my comfort zone has passed through my mind, but for some reason or another, I always had to postpone the trip.
After my last contract I decided it was time to turn my life around and take this journey.

I consider myself an organized person, with motivation and positive attitude. I am sociable and able to work in a team, but I also enjoy my own company and working independently.

In my free time I like to spend in nature, due to the diverse ecosystems of Tenerife and its ideal climate throughout the year, I usually do hiking, swimming, camping or snorkeling. On the other hand, I also like cooking, taking walks in the city, buying at municipal market, learning languages, visiting museums, watching sunsets, reading, watching series/movies...

Experience

20/02 - 06/02. I was on a farm ( Le Lot ). I learned a lot about the care of goats, hens and sheep mainly ( about 40 of these last ones). In addition, I also did plumbing and construction work (installation of heating)

My level of English can be considered intermediate, although I haven’t used it much lately. But I will always do my part to make myself understood :) I hope it is not an impediment. I am interested in learning French, for now I have a basic level.

¡Hola!

¡Bienvenido a mi perfil! Me llamó Aarón (24) y vivo en España (Islas Canarias).

Para conocer un poco más sobre mí, voy a comenzar comentando las razones que me han llevado a realizar voluntariado en este año 2024.
A mediados del 2022 finalicé mis estudios en Psicología y este año he finalizado mi posgrado en Recursos Humanos. Lo cierto es que he pasado los últimos años de mi vida centrado en el mundo académico - laboral. Durante estos últimos años ha pasado por mi cabeza la idea de emprender un viaje de varios meses que me permitiese salir de mi zona de confort, pero ya sea por una u otra razón, siempre surgían alguna razón que me llevaba a posponer el viaje.
Después de finalizar contrato en mi último trabajo decidí que era el momento de darle una vuelta a mi vida y emprender este viaje.

Me considero una persona organizada, con motivación y actitud positiva. Soy sociable y capaz de trabajar en equipo, pero también disfruto de mi propia compañía y de trabajar de manera independiente.

Mi tiempo libre me gusta pasarlo en la naturaleza, debido a los ecosistemas tan diversos de Tenerife y un clima ideal a lo largo de todo el año, suelo hacer senderismo, nadar, camping o snorkel. Por otro lado, también me gusta cocinar, dar paseos por la ciudad, comprar en mercado municipales, aprender idiomas, visitar museos, ver atardeceres, leer, ver series/películas...

Mi nivel de inglés se puede considerar intermedio, aunque no lo he utilizado mucho últimamente. Pero siempre pondré de mi parte para hacerme entender :) Espero que no suponga un impedimento. Estoy interesado en aprender francés, de momento poseo un nivel básico.

Experiencia

20/02/24 - 06/02/24 Estuve en una granja ( Le Lot ). Aprendí mucho acerca del cuidado de las cabras, gallinas y ovejas principalmente ( alrededor de 40 de estas ultimas). Además, tambien realicé trabajo de fontaneria y construcción (instalación de callefacción).

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have very basic experience in gardening, DIY and painting (furniture, walls...). I enjoy cleaning and cooking, although I don’t consider myself an expert at all on the latter.

I also have some knowledge in first aid and photography.

I think I’m good at working with other people, listening and understanding each other’s reality. In addition, I like to teach and guide others, as well as enrich myself with their opinions and points of view.

ESPAÑOL.

Tengo experiencia muy básica en cultivo de huertas, bricolaje y pintura (muebles, paredes...). Disfruto de limpiar y cocinar, aunque no me considero un experto en absoluto en esto último.

También tengo algo de conocimiento en primeros auxilios, ofimática y fotografía.

Considero que se me da bien trabajar con otras personas, escuchar y entender la realidad del otro. Además, me gusta enseñar y orientar a los demás, así como enriquecerme de sus opiniones y puntos de vista.

Although I haven’t traveled too far off the island. In 2023 I made one of the sections of the Camino de Santiago, if you are interested in doing this adventure I can advise you. Since I would like to return in this 2024.

Aunque no he viajado demasiado fuera de la isla. En el año 2023 realicé uno de los tramos del Camino de Santiago, si tienes interés en realizar esta aventura yo te puedo aconsejar. Ya que me gustaría volver en este 2024.
