  Description

  Hi, my name is Roberta. I live in a small village, Scansano (Maremma, Tuscany, Italy). I have a small piece of land (3 ha) where I am developing a project in permaculture. Supported by friends' help, we promote ecological and social sustainability.
  
  APOLOGIES to those who have gotten in touch and not received a response! We have been unable to host people for the past 3 years and we lost our login details (got them back!!). We are also hosting an exciting workshop from the 5th to the 12th of June 2023 (see details below)!

  Travellers can learn about permaculture's and synergistic gardening's principles and practices as well as about traditional building techniques and rudimentary principles for building wood structures.

  Aide

  We need help with natural weeding;
  pruning;
  forest cleaning;
  vegetable garden;
  olive grove cleaning;
  planting;
  food forest maintenance;
  maintenance of the geodetic dome.

  At the moment we are involved in the construction of a geodetic dome. Although we successfully built the foundations in super adobe and brought the dome on site, we are still struggling to make the structure waterproof. We are looking for volunteers to help us from the 5th till the 12th of June 2023. Check out the dome's pics on our workaway's profile!

  Hébergement

  We can accommodate a significant number of people on our land. We can provide tents and bedding, but volunteers must be comfortable camping in the woods. On-site, there is an open kitchen (fully equipped, with a cooking stove and a fridge, and the possibility to charge devices), a compost toilette and a wonderful stream. We can provide hot showers and wifi connection in our home in Scansano.

  We live 30 minutes from the coast and 1 hour from the nearest mountain (2000 mt). Nearby, there are the beautiful hot springs of Saturnia and many Etruscan archaeological sites, such as Sorano, Sovana and Pitigliano.
