  Description

  My name is Earl. My wife Samantha and I have grown a surf resort here on the island of Asu, just west of Nias Island in North Sumatra, Indonesia. We are an active family that loves to travel and host traveling surfers in our chosen paradise. Our son Noah is 9 in April and has spent the last 3 years going to a local school on Nias Island. We want to try home schooling with Noah, so we are looking for a qualified teacher to help with his daily learning using a supplied home school curriculum from Oak Meadow. Responsibilities will be to facilitate Noah's learning monday-friday mornings, assist with art and music projects, and foster a positive learning environment for Noah.

  We run a surf camp for traveling surfers, so we have people of all cultures moving through our accommodations. We employ 9 Indonesian workers to support our operations. I am from American and my wife is from Brazil.

  Hébergement

  You will be accommodated in a shared room with our surfguide/photographer in a second story room in our home that feels like a tree house. You will have a single bed equipped with a custom mosquito net and a fan inside the net. There is a shared bathroom. Three meals a day are provided by our kitchen. Breakfast is a choice of options while lunch and dinner are served family style.

  The island of Asu is an idyllic paradise island with white sand beaches and overhanging coconut trees. We are in front of the surf break at Asu, so there are many surfers coming through as well as tourists who frequent the island to experience the tropical beauty. There is exceptional snorkeling in the crystal blue water. There are 3 other surf camps on the island. There is a beautiful walking/running trail around the island. Surfing is available each afternoon after lessons are finished as well as on weekends.
