Remy was an exemplary dog and house sitter.
We got on very well and he loved my dogs.
He is an accomplished Flamenco Guitar player and would often serenade the dogs and I.
After his workaway time was complete he came back with a friend to stay for a few days.
A very welcome pair!!
I would thoroughly recommend Remy to any other host :)

What a fantastic experience to stay with such a kind and warm person as Jeanette! I spent ten days at her lovely home looking after the jolliest of pups, Dougall and Dilly, both before and after she went on her short holiday. I was taken in as a member of the family and treated to fine meals, great conversation, and some fun film viewing. Jeanette

Willie was happy to drive me to loads of places, from the lighthouse to the fairy pools. I met Katie and Ian who were also lovely people. Dunvegan is a gorgeous little village, all the amenities you need and friendly faces in all the shops. You can hike to the castle and probably the coral beach as well though Willie drove me there. The boys are very smart and affectionate so my primary task was to keep them company. They will come when you call them and they eat with gusto and have great energy in them for scampering around the cemetery nearby. Dougall’s leg was not acting up too bad in my stay there. The house is so modern and comfortable, all the digital tv and internet options for viewing, brand new kitchen well-stocked with food and modern appliances. Hot shower in a modern bathroom. Gorgeous views from the house. I sat with the pups in the front room and played guitar for them a lot of the time. Jeanette invited me and my friend back in a couple of weeks after we drive the scenic NC 500. She is such a lovely soul and I hope to keep in touch with her after I leave Scotland. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
My time with Jeann and Dougal was absolutely unforgettable on the Isle of Skye!
Jeann is a genuine, sweetheart, friendly and cool person. She showed me stunning places on the Isle of Skye, and she also prepared delicious Scottish and Indian food!

I stayed at Jeannette’s with her 2 dogs for almost 2 weeks and I had a really lovely time. The dogs are very easy to care of, they're well behaved and have their little daily routine that includes being fed breakfast and dinner, veggies in the afternoon and morning/evening walks. Dougal is a typical boy and is the most independent of the two,

Jeannette's ex husband often took the dogs for some hours which gave me the opportunity to go an explore the island and Jeannette's daughter Katie was reaaally nice and left her car with me while she was away traveling with her mom.
I got to spend only a couple of days with Jeanette but they were enough to show me what an awesome woman she is! We drank wine and chatted for hours, she made me feel very comfortable in her presence and welcomed in her home. I absolutely loved the time I spent over there :)Laissé par l'hôte pour le workawayer (Quinay)
Quinay was a delight to have in the house.
My pups took to her instantly. We only had one day together before I departed for my holiday.
When I came back my pups were in love with her and my house was spotless :)
What more could I ask for! Happy travels Kina
Jeannette xx

Two glorious weeks we spent in Isle of Skye. We met the most terrific people, beheld astonishing sights, and looked after the sweetest, most precious pair of Schnauzer brothers.
Dilly and Dougal are undoubtedly individuals, but they mirror each other in more than appearance: they spend their days side by side, best friends, two pups in a pod.

Jeannette managed to make two travellers, from the opposite end of the globe, feel at home at once. Her welcome was unambiguous and heartfelt. Jeannette is an exceptional host and person. We are so honoured to have crossed spheres with her and her kin.
We got along fabulously with Katie, who kindly helped us reach the gems of the area. She is a phenomenal person (possibly sìthiche), and because of her, I’ll be carrying Skye closer to my heart going forward. Ian graciously offered us refuge, conversation, and a ride to the “capital” of Skye.
We only regret that we couldn’t spend more time with the people and pups of Skye. Saying goodbye was difficult.
The experience left us more sanguine about the future and with a desire to return ^^

Jeanette was an extraordinary and generous host. She is such a good person. We were able to visit the Isle of Skye with her help and advices. Her yummy meals are mouth watering, we almost wanted to steal her recipes. As for the part of the house intended for workawayers, it is very comfortable and cozy. In short, we immediately felt very

Laissé par l'hôte pour le workawayer (Richard)
Richard was fantastic with my pups. They loved each other from the first walk and feed!!!
I was away for most of the time but my husband was around and "tried" to cook for Richard. Not all meals were successful!
I would definitely recommend Richard for any work - he is very adaptable.

I had a great time at Jeannette's beautiful and spacious home, looking after her two adorable pups - I already miss Dilly and Dougal's cute faces!
I only saw Jeannette for the initial day or so while she showed me the ropes, but it was enough to see that she is a caring, trusting and welcoming person, so much so that she allowed me to put my

Willie, Jeannette's husband, was in and out of the house during my week-long stint in Dunvegan, and he was kind enough to take me and the dogs to some delightful spots for different walks. At the end of my stay, he also drove me to the doorstep of my subsequent workaway host...some 40 miles away!
As well as seeing the stunning scenery of northern Skye, I also met some very warm and friendly folk in the local community, where everyone seemed to know and look out for each other.
With the above in mind, it goes without saying that I would highly recommend potential workawayers to get in touch with Jeannette the next time she needs assistance.

Livia was a great workaway she loved my pups. Very handy with a hoover, a brush and amazing at sorting out techno things. My TVs, my phone and my icloud all got her attention. We did a few tours of the island and went for dinners and lunches, I wish to say "NORMAN" to her ;)

Estelle and Anais were the brightest bubbliest workaways. My pups loved them and they loved my pups taking them for long walks every day. We did a few day trips together and my husband toured them around the island while I was away. We had a couple of kitchen parties - great fun!! I can’t explain in words how much I loved Jeannette. She is such a friendly lady and has good in her heart.
